I am submitting this idea as a follow-up to a support case.
I was trying to use calculations in a single-line text field to fill in information from an attribute in a point.
I was made aware by the support team that this is not possible to calculate from points, but only polygons.
I have attached a video below showing how this works. Even though the calculations in both surveys are the same, there is no set ability for attributes to be calculated into text fields from points.
The ability to calculate from points would be great because not all data that information should be inherited from is in polygons.
This functionality was also tested by the support agent and there is no capability to do this with points in Connect either
My use case for this is getting attributes from another point layer generated by another survey (survey A). I want to have the functionality where I can get attributes from Survey A into Survey B without editing any information. Calculations were a great way to do this.
