I'm reaching out to get your insights on the best practices for efficiently updating a large number of points (about 50,000) within an attribute field value, where these points are defined by a uniquely shaped, custom selection area. This task is for a layer hosted on ArcGIS Online.
In my experience, handling this sort of task directly in ArcGIS Pro with a similar volume of data tends to result in significant lag, particularly when syncing changes back to the hosted feature layer online.
I'm curious about what strategies or tools you all use directly within ArcGIS Online to manage such updates WITHOUT EXTENSIVE SETUP. What are your go-to methods for performing a large-scale, custom batch edit?
