Hi, We have recently purchased Getac PS336 devices and are experiencing difficulties when we try to run ArcPad 10.2 on them. More specifically, ArcPad appears to have difficulty connecting to the GPS unit as the GPS status panel constantly displays 'No Fix'. The settings we use are as follows: Program Port: GPD1 Hardware Port: COM4 Baud:…(Show moreShow less)
Success! It turns out that if you manage to create an Error (in this case 55 - port in use) then ArcPad will let you do the autodetect. After playing about somewhat I have managed to get the GPS to work in ArcPad using COM4 and Baud 9600. The actual GPS in the system settings is now set to Programs - COM4 and Hardware - COM6 Baud 9600. …
this is for ArcPad 10.0. So when you are looking at the fields you have created and you click on the drop down menu you can not read all that is on that line. Is there a way to widen these drop downs? Thanks
Does anyone have recommendations for a good waterproof (at least IP 67) handheld GIS/GPS that will use ArcPad 10.2? Our summer help dumped our "old" (two years old!) Mobilemapper 20 into the river and now it doesn't work and I can't find anyone who is willing to repair the Mobilemapper.
Hi all, I'm having an issue with checking out features from an SDE database to .axf. Here's the deal: I've got a feature class with a bunch of different subtypes in it, but when I export it the usual way (through the data manager toolbar, the way I've been doing it for months), some of the features just don't get exported. Usually its by subtype,…(Show moreShow less)
I don't know if this is related or not but I recently noticed that features with duplicate key or improperly set domains are not checked out. So I think Eric is right, if features didn't pass validation rules they will not be checked out by data manager. Once issues corrected they check out just fine.
ArcPad 10.2.4 is available to download from My Esri. ArcPad 10.2.4 includes a critical fix (BUG-000095878) for users who are synchronizing data with ArcGIS server. Also included with 10.2.4 is support for NTv2 datum transformations. Note: Access to secured web services using SHA-1 certificates is no longer supported, this means some older…(Show moreShow less)
I've been using this @arcpaddevteam applet in ArcPad 10.2.2 on a desktop PC with plenty of disk space, and I am finding that it is not downloading the specified levels below the current level. I am using the ArcGIS Online WorldImagery. Has anyone else had this experience, and can anyone perhaps offer a fix? Download ArcGIS Online tile caches…(Show moreShow less)
A follow-up question...is this post from 2010 still a recommended workflow for ArcPad 10.2.2 and ArcMap 10.3.1, and would this be a good alternative to try? The ArcPad Team Blog: Basemap Image Tiles for ArcPad 10
Hello, When I open my toolbox in ArcMap "ArcPad Tools" do not display at all. I tried searching for the tools as well to no avail. I am especially confused by the problem because I am able to open "ArcPad Data Manager". Any suggestions on how to fix this? I am trying to convert the .apm files that I have on my Trimble unit (TSC3) to .apx…(Show moreShow less)
The installer for ArcPad for 10.2 doesn't always work 100% with ArcGIS 10.3+ for some reason. The data manager toolbar is actually pre-installed in 10.3 before ArcPad is installed, it just needs to be activated under extensions. Python scripting doesn't get activated during installation (works fine though with ArcPad 10.2 and ArcGIS 10.1)…
I've managed to set both the disto and arcpad so that the debug window shows the informations sent by the disto (Packet 001F (0031) Data 00000000 angle 22..01+00001140 31.00+00002371 31etc)... this means that the connection is working good. isn't it? I'm trying to use the disto with the offset points but I can't understand how to make it work...…(Show moreShow less)
I would like to expand ArcPad Custom Tracklog Toolbar applet to allow synchronization of the resulting trackline (polyline) features, but I am getting stuck because our tracklines are and will always continue to be self-intersecting. As a result, they can only be copied into shapefiles or file geodatabases; SDE geodatabases will not accept them.…(Show moreShow less)
Is there a way to turn an AXF layer's labels on and off (set SIMPLELABELRENDERER visible = true or false) from an applet? I am trying to create an applet form with a single checkbox that users can use to turn labels on or off for multiple AXF layers, but it appears that the label property of a layer is not exposed.
