I have a published map on ArcGIS Online with labeling turned on for 1 feature class. I can see the labels in the map in ArcGIS Online but the labels do not display when viewing the map in Collector. Is this a limitation of labeling?
As we are running the Standard license the Feature Outline Masks tool is not available to us. Is there any other workaround for this issue? Can I somehow convert labels or annotations to raster symbols or something like that?
Hi, One of our field staff encountered “An error occurred while synchronizing edits.” Below is a list of the steps I have tried to unsuccessfully resolve the problem. Change Map downloads and sync to Wifi and cellular Close collector app from the background Updated to the latest version Tried to sync from All Maps and Maps on Device Signing…(Show moreShow less)
I have the same problem - an error occured while syncing edits and there is nothing to do. So I followed these steps, and everything up to # 5 makes sense for Android...but what is the other stuff below? Why you have to go into AppData/Local/Packages if you just copied the offline folders onto your computer somewhere? Because I don't find this…
Hello, I am having problems accessing secured services in the Collector app for iOS. I've tested my environment in the Android version, and everything works fine. Here is my environment: ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 ArcGIS Online using SAML for Enterprise Logins Web Adaptor installed on web server in the DMZ ArcGIS Server security: Windows Domain/IWA…(Show moreShow less)
Interesting and good to know. So from your original post we have an identical architecture to what you are running with a SQL2012 DB on the backend. The only variation is that we stuck with GIS tier. We saw a similar issue with non-displaying layers to what you initially described but I can't recall which of 3 possible issues was tied to…
We are in the early stages of testing Collector 10.2.2 on iOS 7.1. It was a bummer to learn that offline editing cannot be done with versioned datasets (We use the "Create Local Copy for Editing" from a feature service desktop editing model). The ArcSDE/SQL Server geodatabase which our data is based on is versioned. We created a two-way replica…(Show moreShow less)
Just wanted to give an update on this issue I had. I had to grant db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions to my ArcGIS Server Service account. Once this was done I was able to download, edit and sync my locally hosted feature service.
I am using #ArcCollector for ArcGIS 10.4.0 on both Apple and Android platforms. The Attribute Table widget that is described on the Web AppBuilder page seems to only apply to the ArcGIS Online interface. The only way that I've found to view collected data while in the field, is to select and individual feature on the map. Please note that I…(Show moreShow less)
This happens every now and then and I finally got an operator to grab a snapshot. The fields have a hint of 'required' which is strange because you can't even have required fields in Collector (I wish you could). Also, instead of showing what's in the field, the pop-up title will show the field name. A simple restart fixes this but it is very…(Show moreShow less)
This is exactly what issue I had. Thanks for your reply. Here's what happened to me: - Made schema changes - Republished and overwrote existing service >>> this is where the "Required" issue occurred in some of the domain fields - Removed layer from map and then added it again >>> "Required" issue no longer present
Hi, The theory is that you can autopopulate the coordinates when using Collector. I have followed all the instructions using: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/gps-config-metadata-storage.htm and I am running a Bad Elf GPS Pro with the latest version of Collector on iOS but still nothing. No fields are autopopulated. am I…(Show moreShow less)
Xing, Have you asked Esri Support if this is a bug with Portal not allowing the GNSS Metadata to populate? Maybe try and uninstall of Collector and reboot the device and install a clean version of Collector. I am not using Portal as I am only using ArcGIS Online. Thanks, Jay
I did some data collection last week at the Esri GeoConX conference in Phoenix, AZ with the Android version and Trimble R1. It worked great. My android phone is a Galaxy S6. I saw between 40 to 60 CM Horizontal with "SBAS" corrections depending on line of site and the environment I was in (Trees, Buildings and Mountains). I will be…
Using the latest Collector with an R2 CM Edition receiver. Seems to work great, but I'm concerned about the accuracy reporting. I've lost my connection to my base station a couple times which reduces the accuracy of this receiver from 1 cm to a couple of meters, but Collector does not give me any indication that there is a problem and just lets…(Show moreShow less)
Hello- I am having trouble getting a feature service to sync after downloading for offline use in Collector. I am running Collector 10.4 on Android (fails on iOS device as well) with feature services published to AGOL from a file geodatabase. I have several point features and line features that work great in a connected AGOL editing…(Show moreShow less)
