This is great Ann Masangcay! Could you point me to an updated PDF that shows the price structure for adding additional instances of ArcGIS Online organizational accounts to a HE site license? I can only find an older version of that document by searching online. Or are things going to be so different with the new HE licenses that the document is no longer relevant?
Shane, I do not know of any external price lists for Esri Educational licenses. Which site license is interested in adding ArcGIS Online organizational subscriptions to their site license? In most cases, they already have what they need.
I guess that's why I couldn't find it!
It may be that other universities have sufficient organizational accounts for all of their needs, but my guess is that it will not be the case as more people on campus start to use ArcGIS Online for teaching. In the case of my university, it is clear that many departments would prefer to have their own organizational accounts instead of using licenses from one of the organizational accounts we currently have as part of the site license (the entire university only has three organizational accounts).
In the past, there was a specific price you could pay on top of the annual fee to add an account - see page 4 of this document: http://www.esri.com/industries/university/academic_programs/~/media/files/pdfs/industries/university/academic_programs/p… Without an updated version of this document, it's hard to know how much it would cost to add an organizational account to the site license.
It could be that things will change in the near future (re: recent HE License program announcement), so perhaps my question is moot.
Correct, Shane. With the planned changes to the site license program, there should not be a need to purchase additional ArcGIS Online subscriptions. Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com>) the details of your situation and I will investigate the options. I need to know how many named users you anticipate needing in an ArcGIS Online account for teaching and research purposes. If you are referring to administrative use, please let me know. We have options there, as well.
That's great to know Ann and thanks so much for your offer to assist! All of the licenses would be for teaching and research purposes. The details are not 100% concrete yet, but I'll be sure to get in touch with you when things become more solidified (it may take quite some time yet...).
Thanks (belatedly) for posting this document Ann Masangcay! If I am reading this correctly, it seems that there has been a change in the permitted use of Business Analyst Online. In the past it seemed restricted to teaching use only, whereas the document from October 2016 seems to indicate that it is covered for research as well under the site license. Can you confirm if I am interpreting things correctly?
...and I have the same question about Business Analyst in ArcGIS for Desktop.
