Publishing Hosted 3D Feature Layers

With the release of ArcGIS 10.3.1, it is now possible to publish 3D layers to on-premised Portal/Server and combine them up with existing Portal or ArcGIS Online 2D feature layers. This paper will look at the system and configuration requirements for the publication of these layers and the integration and curation of these and other services that make up rich 3D web scenes.

Seán Morrish: 3D Product Engineer, I3S Scene Layers, ESRI With over 15 years of experience in the AEC/GIS field Seán William a 3D Product Engineer with the 3D Analyst Group at ESRI, has been working on the next generation of 3D solutions for GIS on the desktop, mobile and on the web. He is part of the team architecting and implementing LiDAR data extraction and other 3D solutions which will form an integral part of the integration of LiDAR, BIM and GIS in city scale environments. Seán William’s recent work has focused on coordinating the use of GIS/BIM for city scale planning design and master planning. Overseeing development of BIM for the site environment for a number of clients leading to the integration of landscape, site and Building BIM.
