Does anyone have any experience connecting ArcGIS Server to Azure Active directory? We just created our first VM that has AGS on it and are very excited, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of documentation on how to manage AGS on Azure.
Yes, we have setup AGS in an Azure VM and integrated it with Azure AD. It works quite well. The only thing we haven't been able to do is create database connections to SQL database on Azure using the Azure AD credentials. It works fine with database authentication. If you still have any questions, post them here and I can try and answer…
We seem to run across this error at seemingly random intervals on our server services. The full text of the error is: Error: Failure to access the DBMS server [08S01:[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]TCP Provider: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. ] Reading up on Azure, it looks like Azure…(Show moreShow less)
Trying to get some clarification. Can you have an enterprise geodatabase on an Azure SQL DB. (Note this is not a SQL Server instance running on an Azure VM (IaaS), but MS Azure SQL (PaaSP.) This documentation seems to indicate the answer is "no". (See first bullet under the header "Database requirements\limitations". I assume "ArcGIS…(Show moreShow less)
Thanks for the reply. To extend the initial question a bit further. Is the design intent to be able to access a geodatabase hosted on Azure SQL DB with an on premised ArcGIS Desktop client? Reading through the documentation for ArcGIS Server hosted on AWS it is quite clear that the geodatabase needs to replicated from on premise to the cloud. …
I have not seen a good amount on what people normally pay for these types of things. I know everything is relative, but what are good numbers to look at? Are there some cases where people 'play the game' right and not pay hardly anything at all? I am just curious on whether or not it's worth looking into these types of services for a smallPreviewHide preview
Hi all, I am presently working on a pilot project for one of our clients. We just want to setup a simple azure based ArcGIS for Server Platform, wherein we can create and publish services on cloud. My question is: Can we directly install ArcGIS for Server 10.3.1 on Azure along with IIS and others as we do for local machines or we need to get…(Show moreShow less)
