Collector and a GeoEvent tracker together

Collector is being used frequently out on the field now days. Why not add a tracking function to send coordinates to GeoEvent in a simple way? There are no good apps for tracking positions over the mobile platforms that GeoEvent can retrieve easily.

Would be really good if these two applications could be combined together, or totally separately. Still in one application.

It is currently possible to configure location tracking for use with Collector for ArcGIS, as outlined in this link. If you would like to bring this data into the GeoEvent Extension, it is possible to use your location tracking feature service from Collector as an input using the ArcGIS Server input connector as outlined in this link.

Please elaborate on this idea in the comments if the above workflow does not fit your project needs.
