Census Data for regional Geographies like City areas or Major Urban Areas merit an option to show Charts and change over time.  BAO offers more recent year datasets but doesn't allow comparisons for multiple years easily.

AGOL has the data available but requires extensive time for extraction as do many of the Census Bureau's  data tools.

If some common statistics like Population, Household Mean, Income, unemployment, etc could be available for various years, to compare, it would be grand!

I can't believe this doesn't have any more support.  Past data is critical.

Moreover, ESRI switched from 2017 to 2018 BAO ACS data and locked out the 2017 data.  I was in two projects and could not run 2017 data to go with 2017 previous data.  I had to run 2018 and allocate it back.  This is a huge oversight and there are clients who cannot believe that ESRI would change the data like this.  Its amateurish.

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion to provide "common statistics like Population, Household Mean, Income, unemployment" available for various years to compare.

This is a great idea and the good news is that 2021 marked the third annual release of Esri's Time Series estimates for total population, households, and housing units.  Esri's Time Series database contains data for every year between the previous decennial census and Esri's current estimates at all levels of geography down to the block group level.  Unemployment is currently not available in the time series estimates; however, adding more time series data is under consideration.  Your request is appreciated to help us determine the data most important to your needs.  I will pass your request along to the Esri Data Development team for consideration.

Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

Best Regards,

Donna
