At the moment it's possible to open Collector for ArcGIS using URLs like this:

arcgis-collector://?itemID=35b1ccecf226485ea7d593f100996b49

that specifies what map to open or

arcgis-collector://?itemID=35b1ccecf226485ea7d593f100996b49&center=34.0547155,-117.1961714

that also includes a coordinate to zoom to in the map. I'd like to see more options e.g. opening a specific feature for editing

arcgis-collector://?itemID=35b1ccecf226485ea7d593f100996b49&layer=assets&objectid=3456

It should have the same options as using URL parameters with WebApp Builder!

Use URL parameters—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS | ArcGIS

This would be useful for creating QR codes on assets to launch collector for that feature, sending urls in emails and texts etc. etc.

Great idea, this functionality would be very helpful! Especially if we could do a search on a layer in the map as well.

Thanks.

Perhaps this could provide a workaround for being unable to create polygons/lines in Survey123 as the feature class edited using the Collector URL could be related to [or from] a point feature class edited via Survey123.

Hello Inge,

Thank you for submitting this idea! Please check out the Collector-Integration GitHub repository for what's currently possible with the custom URL scheme. It looks like there is already a similar issue, so it may be helpful for the Collector development team if you share your comments there as well. If your request differs enough (or you have other requests), feel free to create a new issue!

Thanks,

Scott

I wish they'd actually create a dedicated Collector Web App. The MapViewer editing experience is the worst and of course you can always change it to a Web App using WAB then leverage the Smart Editor widget, but then you have to do that for every web map. There should just be a Collector Web App that can do all of this.

I would really like this functionality as well!  I have users that use a URL in Collector to add a related record in Survey123, I would like a URL in survey123 to open them back up in Collector and edit a status field on the main layer.  Survey123 doesn't allow a URL to take a user directly to the inbox portion of the app, so we're really struggling with how to allow users to:

a) Add related records to existing parcels

b) Change the status of the parcel on the main parcel layer so the symbology adjusts

In our latest release of Collector on iOS we've added support for executing a feature search via an app link.  You can find more information in this topic: Deploy your map—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation

In our most recent release we have added a few new parameters to support additional feature collection and search workflows.  You can review the full list here: Deploy your map—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation.  For those of you who are interested in additional capabilities please add your requests here along with the workflow you're trying to accomplish to help provide some context.
