It would be great if you were able to add a filter to feature layer and scene layer content in a Web AppBuilder application based on a WebScene (3D) like you can in a 2D Web AppBuilder application based on a WebMap.
did this ever get addressed? web scene viewers are useless to me unless i can filter a building to insert a proposed building. i don't want to republish every time i want to "hide" a building. the functionality for the web scene viewers are severely limited compared to map viewers. any advice?
The JS API 4 supports this for feature layers and scene layers: SceneLayer | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.8 . But it's not implemented in the scene apps in Arcgis Online. Hopefully in an upcoming release.
thanks for the info. unfortunately we don't have portal/enterprise at the moment, so that won't work for me.
We need it. I need to isolate one helicopter track out of hundreds for a state regular. Currently I have to keep the scene editor open in one tab, edit layer properties and add the filter I want, save, then refresh the 3D app in another tab. Filtering is such fundamental functionality - please add it ASAP. Thanks.
