I have created a model in version 10 and now require to open it in Version 9.3 as some tools are only available in ArcInfo which we have at 9.3. Is it possible to do this? although I can see the toolboxes in Arc9.3 I cannot see the tools within it to open or edit them.
You can't save the model as a lower version, but you can save the toolbox the model lives in to a lower version On the toolbox, right-click > save-as >
I "down saved" a toolbox that started as a 9.3 toolbox, but must have changed to a 10 when I saved changes to one of the models it contained while I was testing ArcGIS 10. I re-saved it as a 9.3 toolbox so I could add it to ArcGIS 9.3 again. However, the model's layout was entirely altered and all icons were placed in a single straight line. It now resembles multiple spaghetti strands that have congealed into a single linear blob. Has anyone else experienced this?
If that happens, you can use ??Auto Layout?? from the ??View?? menu. Although this will not recreate your layout, it will rearrange your module in a sequence of existing processes, and it??s easy to follow?
Hei, I have the opposite problem, I build a complex model on 9.3 and now we are migrating to 10. Model ain??t working. Is there a migration tool for that? How do I do? THNX
