I have 10 feature service layers on a web map in arcgis.com for organizations beta.  When I build a Silverlight application using this viewer and link it to that web map the layers list shows one layer 9 times (see screenshot).  I'm not sure what to make of this or how to fix it.  I've tried publishing the app to see if it would fix it, but I still have the issue.  I've even deleted the app and started over (again using the web map as a starting point).  Any ideas?

Hi Randy,

If you open the web map in ArcGIS Explorer Online (http://www.arcgis.com/explorer/) do the layers display properly? Could you try recreating the web map with maybe just one of the layers and see how that looks? Is the web map something that needs to be locked down/private or is it publicly accessible (where we could take a look)? You might also try downloading a web debugging tool like Fiddler to monitor what is happening when the Application Builder is accessing the web map and services.

Hope that helps,

Katy

Katy,  Sorry for the long delay.  I never received an email that someone had responded.  Yes the webmap opens correctly in Explorer online and all the layers display correctly..  Here's an example of it (different example than the one pictured): http://www.arcgis.com/explorer/?open=3f129d8baff34157899f1683f7fea456

This example web map is public.  In this case the Corporate Boundary is the one that shows up duplicated in the Viewer.  I'll take a look at Fiddler, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for or how to spot the issue.

Thanks!

I should mention that the layer names are only duplicated in the legend.  They all show up correctly on the map itself.  Also, the data sources for this map are feature services hosted by our ArcGIS Online for Organizations beta subscription.

Hi Randy,

Apologies, but it looks like possibly a bug. We'll try to investigate further and I'll let you know if we find anything.

I think we my be having the same problem in our legend and it does seem like a bug.  In our case it seems like it's caused by having features symbolized based on a category and subcategory that seems to cause the problem.  In the first attachment you can see that there are 2 possible categories for hoarding permits and in the second attachment the hoarding permit shows up twice in the legend in the silverlight viewer.  However in arcmap the hoarding permit only shows up once in the legend.
