Can anybody provide answers to this questions.
We can consider Oracle as DBMS and ArcGIS as GIS software for building up an answer

Stuart, thank you. I think he thought that Understanding GIS Workbook is a forum where one can ask questions that help build understanding GIS concepts.

Pankaj, this forum is dedicated to the book released by Esri Press: http://esripress.esri.com/display/index.cfm?fuseaction=display&websiteID=201&moduleID=0
The questions you asked can be posted in other appropriate forums (for instance, http://forums.arcgis.com/forums/32-Geodatabase-amp-ArcSDE).

However, you can also refer to the Web Help to find relevant information, because it is a good place to get started.

ArcGIS Desktop Help: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html
Geodatabases in Oracle: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#/A_quick_tour_of_geodatabases_in_Oracle...
Oracle Documentation: http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/homepage

Hi,

Could you please publish the questions as plain text message in here so everyone could read it without using any 3rd party software?
