Curves are imported as a straight lines

Hi Matthias,
When I import lines with curves from Esri FGDB for road generation, they don't seem like as it is supposed to be. My roads include "arc" segments and they become straight when I import them. It also happens when I import the road and sidewalks as  polygons. You can see the screenshot in the attachment. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

yes, so far, curves and arcs are not supported on import.

try segmentizing to linear lines ( not too dense though ) on the arc GIS side.

then smooth the curves in CE.

there will be a new tool to "un-segmentize" again in CE 2013.
