GeoPlanner is a premium app hosted on ArcGIS Online. To use GeoPlanner, you must have an ArcGIS organizational subscription and provision the app to it. If you don’t currently have access to GeoPlanner, you can provision a trial version to your organization.

Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to ArcGIS.com with Administrator credentials.
  2. Create a group (“GeoPlanner app”). Add a tag and set status to Organization. Add a user to this group.
  3. Browse to the ArcGIS Marketplace and search for GeoPlanner. Click the item listing.
  4. Click Try it Now and fill out the terms and conditions page. Don’t forget to click Submit.
  5. In the Thank you page, click the link to your console.
  6. In the My Console page, click View Item and share it with the group you created in step 2. Click OK.
  7. Click Open and choose View Application from the drop down menu. Sign in using the account you added in step 2.

If you already have already provisioned GeoPlanner to your organization, make sure that you have shared it with a group, and that group has some users. Then, access GeoPlanner at http://geoplanner.arcgis.com and login with one of the accounts that resides in the same group as the application.

Thank you Robert, for the information!

Since I already have provisioned GeoPlanner with our organizational account, I can't follow steps 3 to 7 anymore. How can I share GeoPlanner with our group afterwards? I tried to look for the app in ArcGIS Online, without luck (I only find templates)

Not looking forward to explain the procedure to our customers... Isn't there an easier way to access additional features and apps?

Anyhow, I appreciate your help

Greetings,

Barbara
