Dear All

We have implemented Esri Maps for SharePoint 3.0.1 on SharePoint 2013

We can author and create maps using the ESRI Maps WebPart.

However when another user, who has full permissions to the page, tries to view the page the ESRI Maps WebPart prompts for a AGOL Username and Password. See below

When AGOL account details are entered the Map appears. See below

I understand that the user should not be prompted and as we have 300+ users I of course want maps to appear without users being challenged for credentials. Also I am aware that some issues around this are to be resolved in version 4, but of course need to get up an running now.

Things to note:

  1. We are using Active Directory Accounts
  2. The AD account that added the webpart originally and configured the page can then view the WebPart without issue ie. is not challenged for AGOL credentials
  3. If a second user who tries to view the page, edits the WebPart and saves AGOL credentials as part of this edit. Both the AD account that created the page and the AD account that edited the page can now view the WebPart without being challenged for credentials.
  4. When adding the ESRI Maps WebPart to the page the following sequence is used after editing the webpart Click Apply, Click OK, Click Save
