Hello, when I right click on my ArcMAP tool bar and attempt to locate any parcel tools, nothing is there.  Is there a way I can add under that circumstance?  Thanks, Chris

Chris, the trial 60 days version offer you the advanced licensing. So you can use the best level, Arcinfo with all extensions without any restriction.

As far i know maybe exist a free tool to work wth parcels, but i dont know if it work with your arcgis v9.2. You need to search in the esri arcscript section

ArcScripts downloads - ESRI Support  parcel search

Parcel Tools in Layman's Terms  Parcel tool

pdf here--> http://www.esri.com/news/arcuser/0507/files/parceltools.pdf

This tool maybe work with arcgis v9.2/9.3, but maybe you need the arceditor license level.. Try it

Chris, you can get the trial version of advanced, as Nicola says, but If you're going to buy it, the basic level won't work for you because you won't be able to use the parcel editor unless you get a higher license level.

I received a call from Esri and forgive the spelling error if it's wrong, "Elda".  She was so helpful and showed me a work-around to the problem.  I forgot to ask her something though so I'll ask here: The version I have is a 32 bit version and it crashes my Windows 7 64 bit desktop machine like you can't imagine but works great on my Windows 7 32 bit laptop.  Is there a cost effective way for me to get into a 64 bit installer of ArcGIS where I can use it on my desktop where I have a wonderful large monitor system?

Nicola, you mentioned that I do not have to buy the upgrade to arcgis v10.2 - how might I download that v10.2 presumably with a 64 bit installer?

Thanks again everyone,

Chris

Chris, you can get the evaluation version here: ArcGIS for Desktop | Free Trial. In regards to your laptop/desktop issue. You could use your desktop to access your laptop remotely (Connect to another computer using Remote Desktop Connection - Windows Help), or you could simply hook your laptop up to all those monitors.

I tried your suggestion and it worked great Sephe.  Connecting remotely works very well - thank you... 🙂

Chris, there is not exist any arcgis desktop at 64 bit. Only the Arcgis pro, but is not contains any parcel tool as far i know.

If you use Win7 x64 the minimun requisite to work is arcgis 9.3.1 with all service packs

Win8-->> Arcgis v10.2.1

Win8.1 -->>Arcgis v10.2.2

If you have Win7 x64 Bit SP1 ArcGIS v10.2 will work as x86 program without any prblem. But i suggest you to download the v10.2.2 installer. Or simply download the 10.3.

Hi Chris, you may want to Move this Content to GIS or other geonet location.  This will help others find you q&a in the future.  You have been getting many responses , but it is current in the User conference group.

I received a telephone call from Eldafira Samsir, in Esri Tech Support.  She was wonderful.  So helpful.  I'm picking up on the community vibe here too and cannot thank you all enough for your thoughtful replies.  Thanks so much.  Take care and have a great day - all of you... 🙂
