Hi Essy, the ArcPad APM file is an ArcPad map file (similar to ArcMap MXD file) and the ArcPad AMP file stores a list of the map layers of an ArcPad session which lists all the feature layers together with their display settings including the extent of your map, color, and projection environment. The ArcPad AXF file is a Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition relational database, stored as a single file and it contains multiple components, such as feature tables, feature layers (including layer definitions), data tables, and files (including VBScripts, JScripts, or Python scripts). You can open an ArcPad AXF file in ArcPad Studio and interact directly with the data tables and schema of the AXF file in Tree View. Simply right-click the table containing the contents you want to view and click Show Data option. Or you can select the Export option and export the selected data to DBF file.
