I am currently working with ArcMap 10 and HEC-RAS. In order to create a model with HEC-RAS I digitized the stream and the cross sections in ArcMap with the help of the HEC-RAS extension tool.

Everything went fine until I tried to export the data (RAS Geometry --> Export RAS Data) in order to open the geometric data in HEC-RAS later. According to the programme the "GIS data for RAS exported successfully!". But when I import this into HEC-RAS for some reasons only the stream (stream centerline) is included in the export file but not the cross sections.

I searched several blogs and forums in order to find what I have done wrong or how to include the cross sections in the export process. Unfortunately I did not find anything that could help me.
It would be great if somebody could give me any advice on how to fix this or where to find help, maybe especially for HEC-GeoRAS. I appreciate any effort.

Thank you a lot in advance.

Hello,

In order to generate the RAS file , you need to select the layers you want to export, to do this, go to "Layer Setup" in the "Ras Geometry" tab,  and check all the layers you want to export.

I hope this helps!
