Hi,
I made very nice symbology for a point layer in arcgis pro. I would like to share this symbology in a way that can be used also on arcmap.
The only option I found is to save a lyrx file but arcmap 10.4 does not recognize this file..
Is there any solution?
thank you,
Dikla.

I ran into the same problem, but I found a workaround! Publish the layer in ArcGIS online from Pro and then pull the published layer into ArcMap by logging onto ArcGIS online from inside ArcMap. You can then save it as a .lyr file.
Creates an output layer file (.lyrx) from a map layer. The layer file stores many properties of the input layer such as symbology, labeling, and custom pop-ups. Layer files saved from ArcGIS Pro cannot be used in ArcMap.
Save To Layer File—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS for Desktop

I accidently changed the file path for a .lyrx to an Adobe Acrobat DC file vs the "Opens with: Windows Shell Common." How do I revert the .lyrx back to "Opens with: Windows Shell Common."
Right click on the file and select Properties. On the General tab next to "Opens with", click the Change button. Select or Browse to the application executable that you want the file to automatically open to.
Thank you so much!
I can't get the publish to AGOL work around to work. Map just doesn't seem able to read what I publish using Pro. Any other way to do this?
