I can't add CAD data to ArcGIS Pro 1.3

I recently updated to Pro 1.3 and now I cannot add in some CAD data in the form of DGN (from MicroStation). It works just fine in ArcMap (10.3.1) and I recalled that it worked in Pro 1.2. But now it's not working for most of my CAD data (though, some of them work).

I have attached one of my dgns for testing (I was able to open this in ArcGIS 10.3.1 (ArcCatalog and ArcMap) but not in Pro 1.3).

Did something go awry in the update to 1.3? Let me know if you have ideas.

Interesting, I didn't release there were very many versions of MicroStation. I am using version 8.x (MicroStation V8).

However, I am receiving the data from many different places so I am unsure what the native version is of the data I have received. It looks like I should be able to read any version though...

I wasn't sure what that 'exported' column meant... it would have said 'export' if it could export them (one would hope), thought it was differentiating the previous columns and it was a cad term thingy.  what about dxf? in a pinch until you get confirmation from esri

Hello,

I tried it here on my release machine and was able to see the CAD feature layers in my map.  If you are having a issue I would recommend that you log an issue with Technical support so we can track down what is causing this issue for you.

Thanks,

Jeff,

Thanks for trying this out. I am a little discouraged by this but also glad to know it works somewhere. I tried a restart and that didn't help. I was going to convert the file to a dxf or dwg like Dan suggested but don't want to go through too much hassle since there are several CAD files that are not working.

I am also having issues with Pro shutting down. It says "closing" forever and never closes. Do you think it would be worth uninstalling and reinstalling before contacting Esri support?

Update... I went ahead and tried some of my own troubleshooting...

I tried:

Repair Install

Logging out/logging in (with AGOL account in Pro)

Uninstall/Reinstall

None of these options helped. I suppose I can contact Esri support sometime soon. One more thing to note, ArcGIS Pro was crashing on me every time I tried to import one of my MXDs.

I think I will also try different CAD formats to see what happens...

Well well. I wish that were the case. I tried dxf and dwg of the same dgn file. Same situation - no data inside. I take it that this is an issue with my install of Pro. I have not contacted esri support but will... at some point...
