In looking into this for you, the format of a .bmp is created when you export the pmf file out. The actual work flow after you have marked up the pmf file within ArcReader is to use the �??Export Markup�?� option from within ArcReader�??s toolbar. Using Export markup
Steps: 1. Click Export markup to create a markup file (.pmfinkx) containing all the markups in the active view. 2. Choose the output location for the file along with a name and unique string. Tip: 1. The active view is the layout view or active data frame. 2. When the markup file is imported into ArcMap, the ArcMap user will see the string listed on the Publisher toolbar.
