I recently installed the one year student trial version of ArcMap for desktop by entering my authorization code when prompted to do so.  After I gained access to the download link page, I installed only ArcMap thinking that I could download ArcPro at a later time.  Can I still gain access to this download link before too long?  It has only been about two days since downloading ArcMap.

Your activation number should still apply to the software, and you still should be able to download it from the website (which I can't find right now).  Give that a try,... worse case scenario, follow the disk back to the hand that gave it to you and ask them

HI Stony,

I am not aware of universities having ArcGIS Pro licenses that they give out. Though, I may be wrong. There is a way to download a trial version of Pro here:

ArcGIS for Desktop | Free Trial

However, I am guessing you are looking for another source.

Tagging Education and Dan Patterson - he usually has an answer for these types of questions.

They are available for sure, the administration of them is slightly different given the licensing options.  If you are with an educational institution, you should have received guidance on how to acquire the licenses and affiliate yourself with the organization.  The provisioning of Pro is done through an ArcGIS Online subscription, which is allocated to, and maintained by each campus.  Of course you can go all rogue and get your own trial of the software, but your will have limited resources (aka credits) as compared to what may be allocated through your campus.

I am on an internship and they just handed us a set of disks for the Student Edition, one-year trial for educational use only of ArcMap 10.3.1 and ArcPro 1.1.  In the package they directed me to the esri.com/StudentEdition page where I activated the authorization number.  I think that's where I messed up.  I should have downloaded everything at one time.  I can ask some administers to see if they can release the download?

Yeah, it says that the authorization code is invalid now.

It is strange that they are still using dvds/cds to hand out the software, there must be other restrictions applying.  You would be advised to get a new version and authorization through your institution, you may have to use a different email address during the registration process.

Especially since the disks didn't actually do anything.  I was looking through the files and some of them might just be add-ons.  I'll give it a try, but I just wanted to try out ArcPro since I was referred to it because I am working with LiDAR data.  Thanks Dan!
