Please provide additional information.

Are you trying to synchronize using ArcGIS Mobile while not being directly connected to the network, meaning putting an Ethernet cable into the computer and then pressing the sync button?

When you publish your map document and created a mobile service, did you check to see if the service is still running?

Can you find a more detailed error or explain in details what is going on?

Did you modify the map document, service or feature classes in anyway?

Are you using the WPF, custom app or Windows Mobile application?

Thank you very much for your answer.
Ethernet cable is being used to connect the server to the network. 3g services are being used in mobile devices.
Arcgis mobile version 3.0, 3.1 and 10.1.1 are being used.
Changes on both local service and mobile service weren't synchronized.
Mobile access in mobile document was published very well. We are able to do same works on other computers, but server. However, we can synchronize mobile project files by editing them which were prepared on different server.
Server OS is windows server 2008 r2 standart cal5 , mobile device OS embeded handheld pro 6.5
And there is no written detail about the error in the detail section (As can be seen in the picture).
The error is not in the logs if the server. Database is registered both on the server and feature classes in sde.

Hi Oyanur,

Did you solve this issue? I am getting the same error with server 10.2.2, Mobile 10.2.1 SQL server 2012 and Windows Server 2012. Modifying IIS user was helpful to you?

Thanks,

One suggestion I have so far is a permissions/authentication issue.

On your server, go to IIS Manager
Then open the the tree > Server name > Sites > Default Website > ArcGIS
Then click on Services, then double click on Authentication.
You can adjust the authentication type, try Anonymous = Enabled and all others set to Disabled.
Or try the other way around and have Windows = Enabled and all others set to Disabled.

I am still using ArcGIS 10.0 so I am using an older version of ArcGIS Mobile as well.

You can also code your own synchronization method, have a look through the forums, I believe someone or I have posted the code on how to do it. In addition, when you code your own sync, you can grab the error.

For example, when I change the authentication I get 401 Unauthorized.
I am curious as to what error number and error you are getting.
Synchronization is a HTTP request and your IT/Network admin can help troubleshoot it.

I hope this works or sheds some light on this.

Another thought would be to install your application on your desktop which already has an Ethernet cable plugged in and attempt a sync. If that works that is great.

Just and FYI, I am also using cell SIM cards and Internet sticks for my tablets and laptops, but I am also using a VPN connection to gain access to the network. Meaning my field computers/tablets appear to be physically connected to the network because of the VPN. Whereas if I did not have the VPN connection my field teams would not be able to sync. I'm not sure what the error would be but my guess would be 404 Unable to get access.
