When I am trying to install ArcGIS Pro 1.3, Im facing an issue while start-up like " Arc GIS pro has encountered a serious problem".

Even I have tried and verified with the "Can you run ArcGIS pro" [CanYouRunIt?], everything was fine and my system was compatible. The minimum RAM mentioned was 4gb and the recommended was 8gb. My system has 4gb ram. I have also updated my graphic drivers AMD Radeon HD 7600 and Intel Graphic drivers. But the issue was not resolved. Anyone please let me know the perfect working solution for this problem.

Does arcmap run properly?

What type of license do you have for ArcGIS Pro?

Does it fail during the installation or while you are trying to start a new new project?

Iam using currently ArcMap 10.1.3 which is running perfectly fine. I have a student license which was given by my instructor.  When I am opening  Arc GIS Pro 1.3 it says initializing and then it gives the error which was mentioned in the above screen shot.

no screen shot.   I suspect that the Instructor gave you explicit instructions on installation and use.  I would refer to those.  Your institution is responsible for the maintenance and support of the student software, in the first instance.  So contact the instructor just in case your ArcGIS online profile hasn't been activated or, more importantly, you haven't been given permission to use ArcGIS PRo yet.  In order to use PRO, certain 'things' have to be done by the person administrating your educational account... if they aren't done, you won't have access to PRO.

Good luck

Some things to troubleshoot:

  • If you've installed an earlier release of Pro before upgrading to Pro 1.3, it's best to do a complete uninstall of the original product.
  • If you've installed an earlier release of ArcGIS Pro, I'd recommend uninstalling Python 3.4 as the components are now part of the 1.3 installation.
  • Determine from your administrator if you're licensed to run Pro.  If not, they'll have to authorize your Named User account.
  • Upgrade your .NET Framework to 4.6.1 or higher.
  • Update your video card driver by determining the make/model of your card.  Then go directly to the manufacturer's website to download the driver.  Windows Update will not provide the latest driver for your video card.

I have tried all the above steps and fixes. But even then the error is persisting. I do not understand the exact reason why it's happening. I have tried to reinstall it. But even then it didn't work.

what did your administrator say about the licensing type you were set up for?

did they confirm you were allowed to use it?

Yeah its perfect, even the authorization code is working. The installation was also successful. Only the error is at the start up screen

then you have a couple of choices

Are you restricted to using it on one machine?  what Type of license were you set up for???

If you are allowed to use it on another machine, try it there to determine whether it is your machine or your profile

Download and install—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop

read this section and follow the links

If you have an ArcGIS Online Named User account, start ArcGIS Pro, and use your credentials to sign in. If these credentials do not work, contact your administrator to learn which type of license you are using, and obtain the information necessary to authorize your license.

If you are an administrator, the steps you follow to authorize your licenses depend on the type of license you are using. By default, ArcGIS Pro uses Named User licensing, but you have the option to convert licenses to Concurrent Use or Single Use licenses in My Esri.

If you can use it elsewhere but not on your machine...reset your application profile on your machine which may have an error and start the authorization again

Hi Dan,

Iam not restricted to use it on a single machine. But im interested in using ArcGIS pro on my personal laptop, so that it would be easy for me to get the hands on experience and working knowledge about pro. I have no issues with ArcMap which is perfectly running. This issue occurs only with ArcGIS pro. I do not understand why this is happening.
