Hello,

I want to create a geodatabase for roads maintenance in a city, register issues, breaks, etc and maintenance types. Is already there some data model for this?

Thank you,

Ricardo

Hi Derek,

The link here leads to a 404 error page.  Could you provide the link to the data model?

Thanks!

Chadwick

Hi Chadwick,

My answer you're referencing to in this thread is 6 years old. I'm not sure if the data model is still applicable. Please review this help topic on UML design for geodatabases in the Desktop help,

A note about the use of UML for geodatabase design—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

It refers to the Transportation data model here, http://downloads2.esri.com/support/TechArticles/Transportation_Data_Model.pdf - but this is more of a resource document.

Suggest that you also post in this GeoNet discussion place: https://community.esri.com/community/transportation/overview

Hope this helps,

Ricardo,

Also take a look at the Local Government Data Model, particularly the Street Network portion.

As Derek indicates, the Transportation Data Model is likely to have much of what you're looking for. However, it seems to me that it's heavily weighted towards the requirements of higher levels of government, so you'll likely need to do some heavy customization to meet your own requirements for local government.

I'd be interested to learn more about what your requirements are and how you might be able to tailor these models to your needs. Please contact me directly if you'd like to discuss further.

Ricardo, how did you make out with your network, was it not so bad or did it turn out to be a dainting task?
