hello everyone,

to put it simply, Im looking to identify if a correlation exists between water temperature and the occurance of tornados; water temperature being the independent variable, and tornados the dependent variable.

I am still abit green when it comes to using the arcpro software, so i was wondering if anyone could recommend what path i should take as far as what tool i could possibly run that would be most approprate.

thanks for any and all help.

Somewhat confused myself.  You have this posted in ArcGIS Earth‌ but are referencing ArcGIS Pro‌ .  Perhaps you should have a look at GeoNet Community Structure  to see if you would like to redirect your question to a more appropriate location.

In the interim, I will provide a link to Ordinary Least Squares (OLS)—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop from the ArcMap help files should you have a single featureclass/shapefile with both attributes in the same table, otherwise perhaps Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR)—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop might be useful.  This assumes of course, that the nature of the data sets in questions conform to the limitations imposed by correlation and regression in themselves.  Non-parametric statistical tests are largely absent from ArcMap or Pro and one would be directed to other software if that would be more appropriate
