GIS analyse of student displacement

I am working on a GIS analysis which requires addressing students in a local school district by address. However, for this project, I am seeking to show a comparison on the previous school assignments versus the present school assignments.

For example, there were four schools that closed. I would like to show how those students were displaced. Additionally, I would like to illustrate the shift in demographics date, e.g., race within this map.

I am seeking to create maps with this information for each school. I have all of the address data for the students. I have school district boundaries. I also have the newly created school boundaries. As an aside, I am not sure if commute times are possible to generate based on the students home address to the assigned school.

Do you know how to do any of this? Like the addresses can be converted to locations using 'geocoding'.  A lot of what you discuss is basic mapping of attributes.  Time travel differentials would best be done within the Network Analyst extension.

I will move this to the https://community.esri.com/community/gis/analysis?sr=search&searchId=00569e2c-1777-48ca-bbda-238c814...‌ since you currently have it placed in the Spatial Analyst extension location which is for work within Raster world.

Perhaps a listing of your current skill level and the software and resources you have available to you would be a good starting point.

Yes, I know how to geocode the addresses and how to map that. Now I just need to know which steps I need to use for solving this problem. So, If you can write just step by step, don`t need to describe how to geocode or how to create network dataset, etc.just steps for this.

Thank you.

Good, you seem to have the technical aspects in hand. I am not sure what you expect by step-by-step procedures for your conceptual framework.  You have posed questions and seem to have desired outcomes, but providing these instructions would be best handled when you meet a technical roadblock or you are looking for commentary for the conceptualization.  Perhaps others that deal with this topic specifically can offer suggestions.

When I say step by step I mean to write which tools and when need to use that in ArcGIS in order to solve my problem. I hope that is clear now...
