G'day,
I have a raster layer with corn residues (left on the soil surface after harvesting) and I would like to smooth this layer in order to have something that comes close to reality. By this I mean a surface of the soil without residues. I tried with differents tools from spatial analyst withoud succes. Is there a way to do that?
Thank you for your help

Did you look at;

Focal Statistics tool with the Mean option or

Filter tool with the Low option.

any 'smoothing' function will change the underlying elevation data values, if it indeed lies on top of an elevation file.  If it is just an image of a corn field and not on top of elevation data, use one of the many Raster Reclassification tools which of course, assumes you have the spatial analyst extension since mixing corn stubble in with dirt isn't a job for statistical options

Try to use Bilinear Interpolation  Resample method

as in the picture: layer (raster ) properties

Thanks for all your answers.

Dan  it's an image of a corn field after haverst with on top of elevation data many résidues.

And I would like to obtain elevation data values without residues at the top.

Thanks

That is why I was asking... so if the corn stubble is contributing to the 'elevation' values, then filtering as slynch-esristaff suggested would be the way to go.  If it was just an image then finding out what the value of the stubble was and reclassifying would be the other option.  In any event, you don't want to fool around too much since you want to retain the terrain characteristics and get rid of the contributing stubble.
