I have:
1.Land use/land cover (LULC) layer of polyogns (has field of LULC type like Cropland, Insitutional, Etc.)
2. Best management practice (BMP) layer of polygons
Situation:
The BMP layer has a Pre-LULC field to show the before land use and a Post-BMP-LULC field to show the after land use. The Pre-LULC field is for one main value of the max area's intersecting LULC code within the BMP layer record's polygon.
Solution Trying to Find:
I use the attribute assistant heavily. I currently set the BMP layer's Pre-LULC field to prompt the user to pick a LULC code to represent the field. I would rather have the Pre-LULC field auto-populate with the LULC polygon that intersects the BMP Polygon the most, the max. Just like when I do a dissovle and I have something dissolve on the max statistic.
Is this possible? I do not see anything where you can do something like an Intersecting Statistics and get a concat of all the LULC values it intersected but get them something like LULC.Area? Then, I can filter the max one or something along those lines?
Alternatively, I can create a prompt for the user to pick from all the intersecting land use's. However, there is a domain on the land use code field on both files and it prompts the user a choice of codes to pick from that don't mean anything to the user? Is there a way for it to prompt the field's domain descriptions instead of the values?
