Anyone know what I need to do to stop receiving ActiveX error messages when ever I run any ArcGIS (version 10.0) tools.  Error message "An ActiveX control on this page is not safe.  Your current security settings prohibit running unsafe controls on this page.  As a result, this page might not display as intended.  Windows7, 64x

Jeff,

Change the Internet Explorer security level from Medium-High to Medium(Tools>Internet options>Security tab).

Another workaround is to download the files (MdDlgContent.xsl and MdDlgHelp.xsl) from the link. Unzip the contents of the ZIP file.  In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Stylesheets folder in the ArcGIS installation folder. This is usually located at:

C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\ArcToolbox\Stylesheets

In the Stylesheets folder, rename MdDlgContent.xsl to MdDlgContent.xsl_old and rename MdDlgHelp.xsl to MdDlgHelp.xsl_old.

Hi folks,

put  localhost into IE -> Internet -> Security -> Trusted Sites.

That's the solution for me. It' works with ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2.2.

Regards from Germany.

This solution worked for me. Did not see this page before finding the solution below, so can't comment on any of the above two solutions.
