Hi to all,

I would like to ask you how can I import INSPIRE GML Application Schemas to ESRI geodatabase?

Did you find a method for doing this? I'm trying to acheive the same. Perhaps the ESRI Data Interop extension is required?

This going to be a problem. I talked to ESS/Safe Software and the answer to GML 3.2.x support is not good: at the moment they are trying to put it into FME 2011. Under ArcGIS 10 the GML 3.2.x is not supported at the moment.

OK, finally there is a way how to read INSPIRE GML 3.2.1 format in ArcGIS. You need to use Data Interoperability extension with the proper schema definition (xsd) which is available on the link mentioned above. INSPIRE uses its own schema description, therefore you will not by lucky with the standard ones. With regards to my previous note - at ArcGIS 10 it is possible to read GML 3.2.1, not write to.

Do you mean that you may read gml but not to import the information to geodatabase?
Would you mind to post the code snippet on how to read the gml?

Thanks.

I realize this thread is rather old but Esri has an ArcGIS for INSPIRE soltuion now. Check it out here: http://resources.arcgis.com/content/arcgis-inspire/1.0/about
The Data Interoperabilty extension @ 10 SP1 uses FME 2010 SP3 (build 6233)

I believe what the previous poster , jborovan, is talking about is if you create a ETL tool and specify GML as the reader, you can specify a seperate .xsd file in the parameters for the reader. I havent tried this before but if you run into issue you could send a post to Data Interop forum.
