How can I move - or copy and paste - an object from one feature class to another in ArcGIS Pro 1.4.1? In this case, an imported GPX track.
I have hundreds of locations (polygon feature class), each with a parking spot (point feature class). I want a single third class for GPX tracks, one or more per location. A GPX file was imported (Tool: GPX to Features) and converted to a line (Tool: Points to Line Feature Class: c20140503_GPXtoFeatures2_Poi) and copied to the track to the Track Line feature class (Tool: Feature Class to Feature Class). It worked fine but overwrote what was already there, leaving only one - the latest - track.
How can I put hundreds of tracks into a single feature class, where I can edit the individual track names in the Attribute table, the same way I do with Parking Spots?
Thanks.
John
That works. Thanks.
I realize now that I need to be able to turn on and off individual tracks. For instance, view only one track for one date at a location with multiple tracks. Therefore, I need to add each track as a feature class, add and edit fields, import attributes, group by location type, and subgroup by location.
Have you tried the Merge tool? Perhaps this can do what you are looking
for.
That works too. Thanks.
