Summary Widget is not working correctly, is it?

I've tested on different Summaries component. One picture is a configurable app: Summary Viewer template (blue style layoute), it's work fine.

The other (orange layoute) is a Summary Widget under a web app builder (WAB), it's doubles or triples real results.

Both are working over the same map and the same layer. It is a feature layers from feature services, as Summary Widget documentation require but I can't get it work properly. I have tested in different WAB versión with same result (Arcgis Online, Arcgis for Developer 1.2 and Arcgis Portal 10.3.1).

Any ideas/suggestion to solve it?

Hi Chris,

Yes, the Summary widget is included with Web AppBuilder embedded in Portal for ArcGIS since the 10.4 release.

If you're running an earlier release of Portal, you can use Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Developer Edition with your Portal. This will have Summary widget that you can use.

Hope this helps,

Derek,

We're  (with svaddadi )    using the summary widget from arcgis online with a summary layer filter field.  We have one summary field- calculating the sum on the field.

When the app opens, the total is the correct sum.  When we use the filter field and select a value, the sum for that filter is correct.  Choose 'All' again, and the total is wrong (increased).  Is this a known bug?  If so, can I have a status on it?  Can someone confirm they can recreate?

Thanks!

Hi Karyn,

I'm not aware of such an issue with the Summary widget. Can you please open an incident with Esri Tech Support so we can get repro steps to investigate?

Hi Derek,

We are experiencing the same issue with the Summary Widget as others above.  When using the the widget it will sometimes double the expected count.  It seems to be linked to the filtering within the Widget when switching between the set filters.

I reached out to ESRI customer support on this a couple weeks back (#BUG-000104093) and the workaround given was to wiggle the map around until it corrects itself.  While that does work, it is not really a viable solution for us.

If we were to just disable the Filtering option within the Widget, would we still see any doubling in our data?  (I ask this because I have seen it double the count upon opening a map, prior to touching the filter.) In my testing I have not seen this occur, but I need to be 100% sure before we go live with this particular map.

Thank you!

Hi Charles,

Apologies for the late reply, I have been on business travel the last 2 weeks.

I checked and #BUG-000104093 was opened approx 15 days ago. We are currently investigating the issue.

Not sure ... have you tested and if so, what was the behavior observed? Some early notes in the bug suggest that the Filter widgets might be affecting the Summary widget - but we're still looking into this.

Hope this helps,

We have another hurricane and have over 100k hits on the web app with summary widget a day.  Unfortunately, we just found that the sum is still buggy.  Can you please contact me at ktareen@geocove.com to see if you can help me find a work around or fix?

-We're using arcgis online. Data is hosted in feature service, summary points to a field for customer count and we're not using a filter field.  When you first open the web app, the sum is correct.  If you zoom in and out a few times, the full extent number starts climbing - doubling or even more.  Haven't found a consistent pattern to the sum yet.

Here's the app.  The current outage should be 94k +/- and falling.

In playing / testing dlaw-esristaff , we're realizing that we seem to be able to recreate on 'slower' internet connections, like phones, over vpns, etc..  Our ethernet pc's in the Incident Command center can't replicate.

Hi Karyn,

Just to close the loop on this post, I've already emailed and reached out to look into your issue to help support your hurricane response efforts.

Thanks,
