Parcel Drafter questions

Can anybody help me with these questions?  I am trying to setup a WAB Developer 2.4 app with the Parcel Drafter and have hit a few snags or just need clarification on some things.

1) Where are the traverses saved and in what file type?  Same location as my data?  Can I set things up so the user can save the traverses to their device?

2) Is there a way to delete the lines or polygons without using the Edit widget?  I either can't do it at all or there isn't consistency with it.

3) Can I change the configuration so that boundary lines are first active, then change the default settings such as quadrant bearing in place of north or south azimuth?  Maybe in the widget_config.json?

4) Is there a way to change the distance and length unit to just feet instead of survey feet?

5) I have tested some simple square or rectangle traverses that should have a closure error of zero, but I tend to get at least a 1.5' closure error.  My feature service was published in the same projection (Iowa State Plane South) as all of our other services, and the parcels, lines and relationship are in SDE.  Could it be related to question #4?

6) The rotation isn't working.  We use custom basemaps - could it be related to Chelsea Rozek's comment here?

Chris,

I guess I meant to ask why is my sequence ID field and Foreign Key field blank and won't let me choose anything?

Hi Bryce -

First, just wanted to let you know that developer edition is no longer required - you can configure the parcel drafter with standard WAB for ArcGIS.

I know exactly what you're talking about with the SequenceID and Foreign Key, they are required fields in your feature layer.  Did you download the layer package here: http://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/parcel-drafter/

Hi Chris, your answer on question three has a link within it. The link is no longer valid.  Are you able to confirm if the widget with Arc Online now has the capability to move the solid line above the dotted line. Can this be added as a default? Is there a product enhancement in place for this request?

Thanks,

Paul,

Question 3 - we enhanced the widget so that the last-used settings are saved (ex. Quadrant Bearing v. North Azimuth) but the default line category has not been updated.

The line category is saved for every subsequent entry - for example, if I change to boundary it will remember that change for every other line until I change it again.

Does that help?

Hi Chris,

Yes that does help. We will have to make sure when training end users how to use the widget, they are aware of the change and their modification to their default selection is permanent (until a future change).

Thanks for the information,

Paul
