Hard code a Definition Query clause when using Tasks in Pro

Can you set up a feature layer definition query as a step in a Task without having to manually input the SQL clause?  Is there a way to hardcode the clause and pass it into the into the Definition Query automatically?  For example, in one of the steps of my Task, I want my layer to have a definition query set up where my field CCTV_Status = Complete but I don't want the user to have to set up the query themselves as it will never change.  By the way, I am using ArcGIS Pro 2.0.

This is currently not possible using Tasks at version 2.0.  However it is functionality we are looking to add in a future release.

Thanks

Thank you for you reply on this.  Do you have a time estimate as to when this might be implemented?

In the meantime, do you have any suggestions for a work around?  Could this be handled via a model in model builder? Is there a tool in model builder to set the layer definition query?

Thanks for your help.

Noelle,

Sorry to say there there isn't any work around in the base software to set definitely queries on layers; no gp tool / models as far as I know.

I expect we would be adding this functionality to Tasks for the Pro Version 2.2 timeframe. (that is 2018)
