LGIM in SDE

I am attempting to create an SDE geodatabase using the LGIM schema.  The introduction to the LGIM page in the help documentation refers to other considerations for an enterprise implementation, but when I click on the link in the tip section of that page, the link is broken.  Any chance that page is actually out there somewhere?  Or can someone point me to a blog post or white paper?  Soon?

Thanks,

Here is the quick start guide for enterprise in 10.1.

http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/quick-start-guides/10.1/index.html#//01q100000008000000

Not sure what differences would exist with the 10.2 version.

We set up the LGIM in an enterprise database in an SQL environment using 10.1.  If you have any questions about it, let me know and I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks for the reply Andrew.

Is this the type of document the link was supposed to point to?  I was under the impression that it contained other steps to import the LGIM database schema to an enterprise geodatabase.  I have ArcSDE up and running, I have created a new empty sde geodatabase, what are the other considerations I need to take into account before applying the schema to my geodatabase?

Thanks,

Yes, I believe that was the document the broken link was supposed to be pointing to, albeit the 10.1 version.

Other considerations would be to get your users setup in the enterprise environment.  Are you planning on using any of the Local gov applications?  If so, I would look specifically at documentation for the ones that you are interested in, and see what data access requirements they will have for the database user.  Some applications only need a data reader, whereas others need write-permission.

As for getting the actual schema into the enterprise database, ESRI would recommend using the "X-Ray" tool found here: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/localgovernment/10.2/index.html#/Migrating_your_data_to_the_Loca...

This will import the XML schema as well as allow you to set a spatial reference for your datasets.  My experience with this was rather frustrating, but in the end, it did what I needed it to.  Perhaps they have updated the tool by now.

Actually, now that I think back on my process, I don't believe that I used X-ray to bring the model into SDE.  I created an empty file geodatabase, and used X-ray to load in the schema and set the spatial references on the datasets.  I then brought all of my necessary data into that geodatabase.  From there I just brought over each individual dataset that I needed into my SDE database.  Like I said, it wasn't a very straightforward process, but it got me where I needed to be.
