We would like to use MIL2525 Military Symbol Styles in the JavaScript API 3.2x. Are these dictionaries supported in the JavaScript API? We want to be able to change symbols in the application in real-time based on the data, so maybe every 2 seconds, check the data and code in the tables, and reapply symbols. This way symbology doesn't have to be published and applied beforehand in a map service, but can be applied in the application dynamically. They seem to work in Runtime SDK and ArcPro but not sure if you could use them in JavaScript. We are adding a legend node to the LayerList widget. I'm not sure it works the same. Below is a similar discussion post that explains how we are adding a legend node within the LayerList widget. Then we allow a user to change the symbology of the dynamic map service layer. After changing the symbology the legend image does not update to reflect the symbology chosen and shown in the map. Reference to other discussion. Show legend in Layer List widget by default

Using Esri JavaScript API 3.27, we are giving end users the ability to change the symbology for dynamic map service map layers in a web app using the SymbolStyler. Is it possible to update the legend for the dynamic map service layer after the user chooses a symbol and updates the layer symbology? Is there any easy way or would we have to grab the symbol image from the symbol styler and replace the legend picture with the picture from the symbol styler dom element (is that possible)? How does ArcGIS Online update the legend after users change dynamic map service layer symbology, for example a polyline, point, or polygon? Thank you for any help or suggestions you may have.

Hello Munachiso, Thank you kindly for your feedback. We are working with polygons so that is good to know. Also, we did notice the query parameter issue. We have AGOL and Portal access. I will take a look at your sample and also the Fetch API and see if this will get working. Thanks again for your feedback.

We are experiencing slow load times for our hosted Web AppBuilder application. We have downloaded and customized, built widgets, and uploaded to our server, and upon viewing the application via browser, the application loads very slow 5 -10 minutes. Is there a way to speed up the initial load time?

Will it work with a 3D globe at all? Have you used a Web Scene with WAB before? Thanks

Robert, I should explain that we are adding layers to the web application map dynamically through JavaScript, rather than using layers loaded from a Web Map. The Web Map we are loading has no layers within it, we are just using it for a basemap. Once the Web Map loads and the user opens a Layer List widget, we add an Image Service to the web map via Javascript. That is the reason I am creating an infotemplate and adding it to an imageServiceLayer. We would like the user to click on the map/image service to retrieve pixel values and also view lat long for that click. Thanks for your help!

Any developers used a Web Scene/3D Globe as the Web Map for Esri's Web AppBuilder version 2.1 and JavaScript API version 3.22? I see the code below in the config file although when I say "3D": true, and point to a web scene itemId, I receive an error. "map": { "3D": false, "2D": true, "position": { "left": 0, "top": 0, "right": 0, "bottom": 0 }, "itemId": "7fe8e2665ab145a3ae4c5db0f8f82185", Looking into this capability without downloading the latest WAB and rewriting the entire application using API 4.5. Thanks for any feedback and advice.

Thank you for the link, Robert. I'm not sure how that code would work using the InfoTemplate object and code as above. I will continue to investigate. Might need to use the InfoWindowBase Popup although we are applying this for an ArcGIS Image Service layer as shown below so not sure if this layer can use the Popup as an infoTemplate. imageServiceLayer = new ArcGISImageServiceLayer("<ImageURL", { imageServiceParameters: params, infoTemplate: template, opacity: 0.8 });

Hello, Using Web AppBuilder and Javascript API 3.22, we are currently creating an InfoTemplate as below, and would like to know how to add map click coordinates (lat/lon) to the template as well. Is this possible? Would we need to create a this.map.onclick event, get coordinates from click, create a variable and place variable in the setContent function below? var template = new InfoTemplate(); template.setTitle(" "); template.setContent("${Raster.ItemPixelValue:NumberFormat} <INSERT COORDINATES HERE>"); Thanks for your help and time!
