Hi Raul_Jimenez I posted a similar response under Esri Presentation Icons - Esri Community. As mentioned there: I just attended Dev Summit and I really like the new graphics. My goal is to create one or a few custom posters - representing the Esri Stack of products and capabilities currently in use at our agency. Regards, Jill

Hi @JeffDeWeese, If you still are involved in this subject, would it be possible to check yet again - for 2024 icons update? I just attended Dev Summit and I really like the new graphics. My goal is to create one or a few custom posters - representing the Esri Stack of products and capabilities currently in use at our agency. Regards, Jill

Very much looking forward to this being implemented. Right now, I use the equivalent tool in ArcGIS Online to narrow down valid feature layers for our area interest plus a tag (word). Very time consuming. AGO reference: Browse layers—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation > Filter > To limit search results based on the current map extent, turn on the Only show content within map area toggle button. For example, if the map is zoomed to Nevada, USA, the search results are ordered and based on the map extent. Changing the map extent to Pennsylvania typically returns different results (depending on your keywords). All layers that overlap the current map extent (and match your keywords) are returned.

Currently, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal (10.6.1) allows configuring Organization Categories: Organization > Settings > Items > Organization Categories. Please add a similar administrative option to configure a hierarchical tags list (or simple alphabetical list of tags) – Organization Tags. This Portal Admin generated pick list would then be accessible to signed in users in both ArcGIS Pro and Portals (AGO, Enterprise) for staff to assign and/or update tags while publishing services or managing Item Description page of content – just as is possible with Categories. Also, add functionality to ArcGIS Online.

Thank you for the prompt reply! I realize I should have clarified I was looking for the solution for an Esri "imagery" basemap, as a first choice. That isn't an option because that is not a feature layer. However, I appreciate this option, too!

Apparently a basemap of type = "WebMAP" may be input through JSON. What is the itemid for Esri Basemap imagery?

Help please. Downloaded and attempted to install 2019.04.01 ArcHydroTools10.6.0.34 for use with Windows 2016 server, ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1 (Citrix environment). Error message received. Why does this require .NET 3.5 (incl 2.0 and 3.0) be installed when that is not a system requirement for ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1? The requirement is .NET 4.5 or higher.

Hi Scott, I can only guess at the workflow... as I'm only working in the ArcGIS Desktop/AGS/AGO/Collector environments. My guess is that one or more staff created georeferenced PDFs through ArcMap 10.1 sp 1 or 10.4.1 > Export to PDF, using the GeoPDF options. An Avenza mobile app was being used to view the GeoPDFs on a GPS-enabled device. Mostly, it was used for navigation purposes in areas without reliable cellular connection. The influence came from a former staff member who worked previously with the Florida USFS. Thanks for mentioning tile caches for our consideration. Next action would be to determine whether or not it would be an economical use of AGO credits to host the ArcGIS Desktop created content (tile caches). Jill

Hi Kelly, No, I'm not still experiencing this issue. Resetting my browser to 100% fixed this - and fortunately, I did not see this in Collector for ArcGIS. Thanks for asking. Jill

This happened again (noticed Dec 18, 2017). I left my Chrome and IE 11 browser sessions open from last Friday (12/15/2017) while I was working in AGO web maps for use in Collector. There was an error message this morning which I didn't capture a screenshot of. The message referred to the ESRI imagery basemap - that it needing to be replaced/updated(?).

Thank you, Morgan. Sure enough, in ArcGIS Server 10.4.1, I had "Enable ownership-based access control on features" turned on. I disabled this, saved and restarted the service and the problem went away. I was only seeing this problem in Collector iOS 17.0.1 build 1720, downloaded web map for offline use.

Have any of you found a solution to the original question? We are having the same issue while attempting to Update Definition on a local ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 rest service. This problem does not occur with an ESRI-hosted feature service, just with local, AGS-hosted rest service (feature services). Scenario: Published Oracle enterprise db (sde 10.1) feature classes/table to AGS 10.4.1 using ArcGIS Desktop 10.4.1. Fields that are set to required with a domain assigned are the problem. The JSON for each rest service shows that the templates default values for those fields are set to 0 or " " - instead of null. No way to fix this otherwise.

I concur. Staff need a GeoPDF reader for PDFs created in ArcGIS Desktop 10.x. These custom maps are being used on GPS-enabled mobile devices to navigate in remote locations where wifi/cellular service may not be present. Why Not have this functionality within Collector, directly?
