I have created a jQuery hack to get this to work. I know this isn't the preferred way, but it works for me, so if anyone else can benefit from it, great. (@mihkelmanna) What I have done is added a map click listener which hides the popup, goes through the table in the popup looking for empty values, removes them and then displays the popup afterwards. There is a 750 ms delay via a setTimeout call. I have put this in a custom widget within Web Appbuilder, but essentially it works inside any widget that opens from start-up. /* *****************The listeners *************** */ on(theMap, "click", function (e) { //on(theMap.infoWindow, "show", function (e) { hideShowTable(); }) $(".esriPopupWrapper").on('click', '.titleButton.prev', function () { hideShowTable(); }); $(".esriPopupWrapper").on('click', '.titleButton.next', function () { hideShowTable(); }); /* ************************ The Function ****************** */ function hideShowTable() { var table = $(".attrTable"); $(".contentPane").css("display", "none"); setTimeout(function () { var numCols = $("tr", table).length; i = 0; $('.attrTable tr').each(function () { var _hide = true; $(this).find('td:nth-child(2)').each(function () { var currentVal = $(this).html().replace(/ /g, '') if (currentVal != "") { _hide = false; } }); if (_hide) { $(this).hide(); } }); $(".contentPane").css("display", "block"); checkBlockDropdown(); }, 750); }

Robert, Thanks so much. That is exactly what I needed and the new layerlist does indeed work as expected (thank goodness for that) As far as contacting tech support, ESRI UK (ESRI UK Technical Support) refuses to touch WAB developer without "developer credits",which as you can guess is extremely frustrating. Thanks again! Nat

Hi All, Thanks to Rebecca and Robert for their responses. However, I am still having the same problems when I try to "Create a new app". To be honest, I am only looking for the new functionality of the layerlist widget (see previous post) and only need a basic web application to play around with. Would anyone that has gotten WAB 1.1 working be kind enough to create a very basic map application with out of the box widgets (layerlist, legend etc), download it and post it somewhere for me to download? This would be extremely helpful as I am starting to run pretty tight on a WAB deadline. Thanks, Nat

Hi All, I wanted to give an update to this query. I have now tried to run WAB 1.1 on 4 different machines, two browsers on each and referencing both our portal install and ArcGIS Online. in all cases, the node server gets stuck at the same point seen below. Potentially this has something to do with my companies' firewall, but I am not sure. Unfortunately, ESRI UK refuses to answer any "Web AppBuilder for developer" questions without paying extra for the privilege. So, I am kind of stuck. Thanks, Nat

Hi Robert, Thanks for the quick response. I had a go with the folder in the root of the C drive, just to see if that made any difference, but same results. There appear to be other applications that have errors that associate with process_tickCallback (node.js:415:13) which can be seen via stackOverflow. But I have not spent enough time with node.js to know the best way of debugging this issue. -Nat

Hi Sam, I am not using 1.1 just yet, but looking at my config file for an older version that uses a custom theme my the set up is a little bit different. Within the widgetOnScreen section, my config is set up like this: "panel": { "uri": "themes/DemoTheme/panels/SimpleBorderPanel/Panel", "positionRelativeTo": "map" }, "widgets": [{ "uri": "themes/DemoTheme/widgets/HeaderController/Widget", "positionRelativeTo": "browser", "position": { "left": 46, "top": 20, "right": 0, "height": 64 }, "id": "themes/DemoTheme/widgets/HeaderController/Widget_5", "name": "HeaderController", "isThemeWidget": true, "label": "Header Controller" }, and then the panel is set up on the widgetPool section: "panel": { "uri": "themes/DemoTheme/panels/FoldablePanel/Panel", "positionRelativeTo": "map", "position": { "top": 5, "right": 5, "bottom": 5 } }, This code may no longer be relevant, but is worth a try. -Nat

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with Web AppBuilder 1.1. I am able to download, run the node server, login via my portal with the secret api key just fine. The problem that I have is when I try to create a new app. After entering in a title and description, the loading symbol stays up and no further progress occurs. There are no errors on the development console. The node server only reports that it is trying to "at process._tickCallback <node.js:415:13>". This is after all of the widgets seem to have been copied correctly. I have tried in Chrome and IE11, restarted the server a couple of times and the problems always seem to occur at the same location. Any ideas? Thanks, Nat

Hi Stan, Unfortunately the service is not public, which obviously makes it a bit more difficult for others to troubleshoot.

Hi Mark, That was a really good idea, as I was using my own custom basemap, but upon changing to an ESRI basemap. I had no luck. What is interesting is that the geocoding works fine when I use any random template, like the "Basic Viewer", but as soon as I use the geocoding service in Web App Builder, developer or out of the box, I get the strange behavior described above.

This bug appears to have been fixed in non-developer version of Web AppBuilder released in Feb. Has anyone heard when the update will be released in for the developer version. Meaning, does anyone know when the March release is actually due?

Hello, Has anyone had any success with custom geocoding services in the Geocoding widget? I have published a geocoding service following the help page here. And the service seems to work fine. If I plug it into ArcGIS Online or Portal, it works very quickly with auto complete and everything. But when I try using it in WAB, I have no luck. The new custom service that I have registered with my portal instance shows up automatically via map config. But auto complete stops working and any search that I have sends my map view so far out that I receive some 100,000 errors for missing basemap imagery. I have also had no success by adding my service into the config file 'config_Geocoder'. These configurations seem to be overwritten by the inherited configurations from Portal. I am having some general problems with my portal, active directory, SSL credentials and such, so maybe this is why I having a trouble, but I wanted to check if anyone had had success yet. Thanks, Nat

Hi Chris, So I feel a bit thick on this one, but I can't figure out how to get the break points to work on minimized code within Chrome Dev Tools. I think that esri/dijit/InfoWindow is actually what is being called in my set up, but none of the break points seem to do anything. Any advice on that? Using your advice however, I have gotten one step closer. In the onclick function of clusterLayer, I have turned off e.stopPropagation() which displays all the photo icons, and then if I select an icon, they stay open as long as needed. It is not perfect because there is still a message that says "No Information Available" first, but I think I am close. Thanks, Nat
