This would be very usefull, preferably stored in the item, not just the web map. And also for WFS please! If possible, this would allow me to share secure OGC services in the "normal" ArcGIS Online way using named user accounts.

When you create a View Layer from a Feature Layer in ArcGIS Online you can set a View Definition limiting access to the features, fields and/or area of interest. You can then share the View Layer with another group of users as the original Feature Layer. Love it, but a problem appears when you share the View Layer in a shared update group: all members of that group can then update the View Definition and view all the original features, fields and/or area of the source Feature Layer, even when this Feature Layer is not shared with the group. Before Partnered Collaborations became available in ArcGIS Online this was only an internal issue (since external accounts cannot be added to 'normal' shared updated groups). But with Partnered collaborations you can now create edit groups that have members of multiple organizations. Now, members from other organizations can update a View Definition of a View Layer and see the full source data, even when the original Feature Layer is not shared with the group! This might well casue a data breach situation. The idea: Show a warning when a users shares a View Layer with a group "Caution: group members can update the View Definition of this View Layer and access the full source data" (or something similar).

Hi Robert, thanks for your comment. However, it was Esri Netherlands support that suggested posting an idea here on this topic at the end of a support call about this issue. In my experience, some apps show a cookie message, but not all of them. I received an automated email yesterday from Esri stating the april 1st update of Hubs now features cookie messages and consent.

Since the March 2020 release of ArcGIS Online for Organizations users that have a ArcGIS Pro license can download ArcGIS Pro from ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Pro is provided to the users in our company centrally. It is scripted and pushed to the user. In this way all our users use the same version of ArcGIS Pro increasing interoperability of files. The IT department determines together with the user-group if a newer version should be released. This version is then pushed to all existing users. Removing software is also handled centrally. Providing users the options to download a potentially newer version from ArcGIS Online will result in some users in our company to be “out of step” with their Pro version. Centrally controlled roll-outs of newer versions will possibly malfunction for the users that already updated their software. Furthermore, we cannot provide the ArcGIS Pro support we want for users that have a different version than the company-standard. So: Please provide the option to switch off this download function in the organization settings.

A python toolbox has a help button in the dialog window When you click this button a browser window will popup with a rendering of the tool metadata (stored in the XML file). This is usually great, but sometimes I have a very detailed help website already available and wish to point to that URL. Please provide the option to add a custom URL to the help button of a tool. Preferably set in either the XML or the tool class.

Hi Kelly, in your blogpost you wrote "the change to user types for most members won’t be noticed, as the functionality will stay the same, but administrators will notice the updated names". But when I look here: ArcGIS Online Subscriptions, I see that ArcGIS Pro is not mentioned as an add-on app for any user type, and only mentioned as an included app for the user type GIS Professionals". So when all the level 2 users in my organization become user type "Creator" after the update, will they loose their ArcGIS Pro license? And if so, can I return the license to them without updating the user type to GIS Professional? -Tjibbe

The JS API 4 supports this for feature layers and scene layers: SceneLayer | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.8 . But it's not implemented in the scene apps in Arcgis Online. Hopefully in an upcoming release.

On "My Stories" (https://storymaps.arcgis.com/en/my-stories/) it's possible to create new Story Maps. They are placed in the root folder of your content in ArcGIS Online. If you create a new WebMap in a Story Map this WebMap also gets placed in the root of your content. "My Stories" does not feature any folder structure. This makes Story Maps and their content hard to find in both "my stories" as "my content" in ArcGIS Online. Placing the Story Map in a folder together with WebMaps created in the Story Map will make it easier to find them, share them, copy them, move them, etc. It would be great if you could specify a new folder to place the new Story Map and the WebMaps that are created from within the builder. It would be even better if "My Stories" featured the folders, that are also represented in "my content" in ArcGIS Online.

It would be great if you were able to add a filter to feature layer and scene layer content in a Web AppBuilder application based on a WebScene (3D) like you can in a 2D Web AppBuilder application based on a WebMap.

When using the Web AppBuilder based on a WebScene (3D) the search widget only has the option to include geocoding services. I would like to be able to search feature services and scene layers as well.
