Thanks George, that makes a lot of sense. I have a few scripts that are using just the "Analyze" tool but I will be switching them over to "AnalyzeDatasets" Kind regards, Jesse

Hi, When would it be proper to use the Analyze (Data Management) tool over the Analyze Datasets (Data Management) tool and vice versa? It appears to me that they both update statistics on datasets in an Enterprise Geodatabase. Thanks! Jesse

Devon, I too am having this issue. Although it's not a solution to the problem, what I've noticed is that this works fine in Explorer and Firefox. Being that our viewer is a public viewer, I usually direct those who call for help on this matter to save to desktop then print from there. Jesse

Jules, My problem was that I wasn't refreshing the home page correctly. I had to slide my finger down all the way down on the screen (where the refreshing "wheel" goes around in a full circle). Before that I was just sliding it down halfway causing the icons and maps to not refresh correctly. Didn't seem intuitive at first.

Hi, I just mounted the ArcGIS 10.3 .iso, yet I'm not seeing the License Manager 10.3 install folder. I recall, with previous versions that the 'LicenseManager' folder was located in the 'Installer' folder. But with 10.3, I'm no longer seeing this. Any idea on its whereabouts? I'm probably just blind. Thanks.

Robert, I was having a lot of problems working with the default query widget, but now I am more than likely using something out of date. It's been a challenge dealing with someone else's mess! This widget is a customized version of a "Date Search" widget I found (I believe it was yours), The way it's set up now, the on-map results are shown with a push pin (or highlighted) - see images. I'm guessing I should incorporate what I have now back in the query widget? Thanks.

Hello, I have a query widget that allows the user to pick a date range that a crime has occurred on, and query further on the crime's category (Stealing, Arson, etc.). When the query is ran, I would like to display only the results that meet that specific query as opposed to displaying all the crime points within that layer. Is this a case where I would use a feature layer or graphics layer? Also, would I be able to keep the same picture marker symbol native to the layer in the MXD? I’m limited/stuck at Flex API 2.5. (working on a JS site now). I've seen a few examples, but nothing that works with a query and/or keeps the symbology in tact. Thanks!

Larry, Thanks as always for you sound advice. I'm pretty sure I successfully sold Portal to the higher-ups, especially since we have just started upgrading to 10.3 - which comes with Portal (and the whole hosting data instead of having it in the cloud thing). The easy use of our web map on mobile devices is what has sold the proposal in the first place, so I will definitely take your word for it and assume that WAB is going to be our best bet. Regards, Jesse

Hey guys, My organization is in the process of planning for our next new web mapping application. Instead of going completely custom, we've decided to go the template route - either Web AppBuilder or CMV. While we are leaning towards the Web AppBuilder, there are still some questions to be answered before a final decision is made. One that I am struggling to provide an answer for is: 'What is/are the advantage(s) and disadvantage(s) of Web AppBuilder's dependency on ArcGIS Online or Portal?' (Developer Edition). Now that the application has been available for some time now, I figured it would be easier to get some answers on this matter. Thanks for your feedback.

Hey all, Does the "Print" widget in the Web AppBuilder allow for saving your current view as a file (Save as to desktop)? If not, is there a tool/widget that is capable of doing this? I am in the process of planning for a new JS-based web application and have yet to use this widget. Thanks!

Robert, Most of this work was done by Larry Stout, but me and my predecessor have done a decent amount of customization on the widgets. I'm unsure on what the previous version of this Date Search widget was, but I had to make a few changes to get it working with our current version of the Flex API - 2.3.1. I'm aware that this outdated, however I am working on a JS site, and have not been granted privileges to upgrade the Flex app. Unfortunately I have not run the app in debugger mode, there are always a whole host of issues when trying to run it. I'll try to get this working. Thanks, Jesse

Robert, I understand completely. If anything, I'm happy to know that there isn't a glaring error from a stupid mistake! I just went ahead and attached the src folder minus images/assets. Again, I appreciate you taking a look at this.

No, unfortunately clicking on the record does not zoom either. That's pretty much all I need too. Anyways, attached is the RecordDataB.mxml file. Thanks, Jesse
