In your request, I modified the bounding box to be 1/4 the size of what it was 3) Use the labelingInfo that's defined on the mapLayer as a starting point, then make your tweaks as needed https://services.nationalmap.gov/arcgis/rest/services/govunits/MapServer/15?f=pjson Final result https://services.nationalmap.gov/arcgis/rest/services/govunits/MapServer/export?bbox=-94.921875%2C30.751277776257812%2C-94.61875%2C30.44512718337613&bboxSR=4326&layers=show%3A15&layerDefs=&size=256%2C256&imageSR=3857&format=png32&transparent=true&dpi=&time=&layerTimeOptions=&dynamicLayers=%5B%7B%22id%22%3A+15%2C+%22source%22%3A+%7B%22type%22%3A+%22mapLayer%22%2C+%22mapLayerId%22%3A+15%7D%2C+%22drawingInfo%22%3A+%7B%0D%0A%22renderer%22%3A+%7B%0D%0A%22type%22%3A+%22uniqueValue%22%2C%0D%0A%22field1%22%3A+%22COUNTY_NAME%22%2C%0D%0A%22field2%22%3A+null%2C%0D%0A%22field3%22%3A+null%2C%0D%0A%22fieldDelimiter%22%3A+%22%2C+%22%2C%0D%0A%22defaultSymbol%22%3A+null%2C%0D%0A%22defaultLabel%22%3A+null%2C%0D%0A%22uniqueValueInfos%22%3A+%5B%5D%0D%0A%7D%2C%0D%0A%22labelingInfo%22%3A+%5B%0D%0A%7B%0D%0A%22labelPlacement%22%3A+%22esriServerPolygonPlacementAlwaysHorizontal%22%2C%0D%0A%22where%22%3A+null%2C%0D%0A%22labelExpression%22%3A+%22%5BCOUNTY_NAME%5D+CONCAT+%5C%22+Co%5C%22%22%2C%0D%0A%22useCodedValues%22%3A+true%2C%0D%0A%22symbol%22%3A+%7B%0D%0A%22type%22%3A+%22esriTS%22%2C%0D%0A%22color%22%3A+%5B%0D%0A240%2C%0D%0A0%2C%0D%0A135%2C%0D%0A255%0D%0A%5D%2C%0D%0A%22backgroundColor%22%3A+null%2C%0D%0A%22borderLineColor%22%3A+%5B0255%2C0%2C255%5D%2C%0D%0A%22borderLineSize%22%3A+1%2C%0D%0A%22verticalAlignment%22%3A+%22baseline%22%2C%0D%0A%22horizontalAlignment%22%3A+%22left%22%2C%0D%0A%22rightToLeft%22%3A+false%2C%0D%0A%22angle%22%3A+0%2C%0D%0A%22xoffset%22%3A+0%2C%0D%0A%22yoffset%22%3A+0%2C%0D%0A%22kerning%22%3A+true%2C%0D%0A++++++++++++++++++%22haloSize%22%3A+2%2C%0D%0A++++++++++++++++++%22haloColor%22%3A+%5B255%2C255%2C255%2C255%5D%2C%0D%0A%22font%22%3A+%7B%0D%0A%22family%22%3A+%22Segoe+UI+Semibold%22%2C%0D%0A%22size%22%3A+13%2C%0D%0A%22style%22%3A+%22normal%22%2C%0D%0A%22weight%22%3A+%22normal%22%2C%0D%0A%22decoration%22%3A+%22none%22%0D%0A%7D%0D%0A%7D%2C%0D%0A%22minScale%22%3A+0%2C%0D%0A%22maxScale%22%3A+0%0D%0A%7D%0D%0A%5D%0D%0A%7D%7D%5D&gdbVersion=&mapScale=&rotation=&f=html

Hi everyone, I'm trying to run statistics on my service when a layer is joined to a dataLayer from a workspace, but it keeps on failing. I've created a similar payload using the esri sample services here: Query Dynamic Layer If I remove the statistics parameter, then the query works as expected. Query Dynamic Layer Anybody have any thoughts or insight into why this happens?

Great idea! I can create a new parameter set on the client side that identifies any potential reverse proxy in the request chain. Thanks!

Hmm ok, I'm interested in examining headers and cookies that get sent to the handler which would identify sourcing domains and users. Headers like "X-Forwarded-For" and "X-Forwarded-Host" would be useful when constructing resource urls for clients. Using a reverse proxy server with ArcGIS Server—ArcGIS Server Administration (Linux) | ArcGIS Enterprise

Ah, let me clarify. I'm trying to do this programmatically within the SOI code. I want to accept the incoming request, parse the body (like all the examples show) as well as any http headers/cookies that might be carried along the way.

Has anyone had any experience reading the Http header and cookies associated with the HTTP requests made to ArcGIS? We have a custom security model that embeds a user specific token (non ArcGIS token) in each HTTP request made from our web app. I'd like to see if there something available in the ArcObjects functionality that would allow us to extract this data. thoughts?

map tile service The tileServers specified in the ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer are not cycled through enough. This is the function I was debugging while looking at the init.js. getTileUrl: function(a, b, c) { var d = this.tileServers , f = this._getToken() , r = this._url.query; a = (d ? d[b % d.length] ...... } This is great if your map is really "tall" with lots of rows, but if you have a wide map that stretches across multiple screens, then your potentially long list of available tile servers is sitting there unused. I have about 9 tileservers available, but they aren't all being used equally. Can this method be updated to randomize the tileServer selection process better?

Thanks Matthias, As you said, the video card plays no impact on the web scene generation. However I did notice that the tool pegged the hard drive rather hard. It would be great to have the option to generate the webscene in memory (RAM), so that processing time would be cut down. We're doing some pretty cool stuff with the CE Web Viewer and the new tool that exports ArcScene docs to WebScenes. The better the performance is, the farther we can take this tool. Thanks again!

I'm trying to generate webscenes from my existing ArcScene documents using the new geoprocessing tool in ArcDesktop 10.2 : http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#//00q9000000np000000 I'd like to cut down the time it takes to actually create the webscene, and my research makes it seem that the video card can play a large role. Does anyone have experience with video cards reducing the time it takes to generate a web scene? Also, what video card would be optimal for generating web scenes? Thanks in advance
