Thanks for the example Robert. I should have clarified that I wanted to do this at runtime. I can change the heading and tilt values on a camera and then call the goTo() function on the scene view in order to reposition the view at runtime. However that wouldn't work when changing the fov on the camera. I did use your example to help me figure out that I need to recreate the sceneview with the new camera in order to change the fov on it, which does work. So for anyone else that wants to modify the fov at runtime, you will need to recreate the sceneview using the camera with a new fov value, rather than just being able to use the goTo function with that new camera.

I've been working with a simple test app trying to manipulate a SceneView's camera. I am able to reposition, pan and tilt the camera using the position, heading and tilt properties. However I would also like to change the field of view of the camera's frustum. I see there is an fov property on the camera, but it appears to do nothing. I can assign values to this property and read them out again, but it seems to make no difference to the resulting view. Is there a purpose to the fov property, or a specific use case that it is used for? Thanks.

I am currently using GeoEvent Server 10.5 and attempting to use the Field Enricher (File) processor to populate existing fields in my GeoEvent object. Unfortunately, the existing fields never get populated in the GeoEvent object after passing through the processor. I verified that the value in join field in the GeoEvent object is also in the lookup file, and that the enrichment fields exist in both the file and the GeoEvent. I tried adding new fields as well, but this also did not work. I do not see any errors in the GeoEvent logs for this processor. As a test, I also tried using the Field Enricher (Feature Service) and got the same result, but I was able to get that field enricher to add new fields to my GeoEvent, but never able to populate the existing GeoEvent. Has any one else been having trouble with this processor, or know of probable reasons for it not working?

If I create a stream service and add features to it via simulators sending data to a GeoEvent processor I can see the features show up in a JavaScript API 4.1 app (i.e. the esri sample here: StreamLayer - 4.1 ) However, when I stop some of the simulators which then stop the feed for individual features, those features disappear after a second or two from the map. I played with the purge options but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Additionally, I've noticed that if I try the same sample in the JavaScript API 3.18 (i.e. here: StreamLayer using ArcGIS API for JavaScript and ArcGIS Server Stream Service) however, when using that API, it does not remove the graphics from the map when stopping the feeds for individual features (which is what I expect). Has anyone else seen this behavior, or is this a bug in the 4.1 StreamLayer? Thanks!

I'm trying to run a toolbox item locally on an ArcGIS Server using the GeoProcessor in c#. There are several toolboxes available that look like they should work: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes\Data Management Tools.tbx\Tile Cache\Mange Tile Cache C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes\Server Tools.tbx\Caching\Manage Map Server Cache Tiles C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\ArcToolbox\Services\Caching Tools.tbx\Manage Map Cache Tiles. I have tried all three and none work when run locally on ArcGIS server: The first one complains that there is an existing cache - of course there is, I'm trying to rebuild it! The second one gets close, but I get a message complaining that the "Input Service: dataset not found or supported" - I suspect that the format of the string I'm using doesn't work as the example shows how to use if from ArcGIS desktop: "GIS Servers\\my server name (admin)\\service name.MapServer". I've tried as many permutations I can think of to run it locally, but perhaps it just isn't supported. Any ideas? The third one returns the oft found, and extremely helpful error from arcobjects: HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. I did explicitly try to add the toolbox for the 3rd one as it wasn't found in the default Toolboxes folder. Does anyone have any experience rebuilding the map cache programmatically on ArcGIS server? Any help is appreciated.

I have a python script that adds a topology to a feature dataset (in FGDB), adds a feature class to the topology, then adds a gap rule and an overlap rule. The script then validates the topology and exports the topology errors to feature classes. I then export the resulting topology error feature classes to CSV files, using the ExpoertXYv_stats function, for use in later process. I then delete the topology error feature classes exported from the validate topology step, and the topology itself. The problem is that some of the polygons that are participating in the topology aren't completely bounded by other features, and as a result, are showing up as gap errors. I understand that technically these are being correctly identified as gap errors. However, I want to ignore these particular errors as they are acceptable. Hence, I want to add an exception to the gap topology rule so they will not show up in my output files. Is this possible to do in arcpy? I have not seen any arcpy functions to do this, unless I am missing something. If its not possible to add a topology exception in python... Is there some way to identify the particular validation errors in the output so I can skip them in post processing? From what I can tell there are only the following attribute fields available in the output: X,Y,OID,OriginObjectClassName,OriginObjectID,DestinationObjectClassName,DestinationObjectID,RuleType,RuleDescription,isException The coordinates in my CSV file looked like it might be the centroid, so I thought I might be able to use that to identify those particular gap errors. However when using the 'Feature to Point' toolbox tool to find the centroid of the polygons and verify this, it appears the ExportXYv_stats function coordinates is not the centroid. Any other ideas?
