Wow, I guess we're just sadly out of luck on this one. No room for human error on this one. I just lost an app by mistake. And there is no restore function in this ESRI cloud!?!? Give me back my recycle bin! It can be a life saver sometimes in the human world.

Joe, Yes, the CityView Application consumes a Rest Map Service, much like any AGSOL app does. I suspect there may be some Javascript code out there to embed this into the Map somehow. I'll be searching for it and get back to you on what I find Thanks

Wow, this is incredible, a basic mapping tool like this has not been developed for AGSOL. We have a third party software, CityView, that consumes ArcGIS Map Services that has a highly functional Map Pan/Rotation Widget for it's Map viewing component, but ESRI cannot provide a widget in Web App builder? Or any of its supported APIs? Am I wrong? Please say I'm wrong. Dave

It seems the Attachment viewer can only display .jpg or image files. It'd be great if .pdf and other docs could be included. they open up in as separate window links, but not as part of the attachment window and scroll there. How do we access the code behind this? It seems like a simple enough change Dave

I'm hoping to create a link to a .pdf document from using a Prefix/FIELD/FIELD.pdf Based on file:///G:/GIS/BV_Water/PDF_WS_CARDS/ABBOTT%20ST/6%20ABBOTT%20ST.pdf which will on our internal server...

I have maps in ArcGIS online that I would like to rotate to 343 degrees. The map service was published at this rotation, but when I add the map to ArcGIS online it is aligned to 0 degrees. Our area looks best at 343 degrees. I've tried several things but there seems no easy way to do this. Any Ideas?

My two "Canadian" cents..lol  Reading Robert's post here has got me a little upset for sure, but what he says is true; change is inevitable, especially in the IT world. That's just stating the all too obvious. I started GIS in 2001, and was introduced to Javascript, ArcXML and ArcIMS. Then, at my first working stint, I was working with Autodesk Map Guide; a platform that went Open source with limited success. 2005 brought me back to ArcIMS and ESRI's .NET/ArcGIServer leap around 2007 or so. The switch to Flex was a great relief from those days. I loved the simplicity of the code and the entire look and feel of the viewers. I'm very grateful for the many posts on this forum and great widgets shared by Mr. Sheitlin. Thanks again Robert! I must say though, you seem to be taking this gracefully, considering the huge effort you put into Flex. The HTML 5 shift has been looming over the web world for a while now. The Marine motto " ...Accept, Adapt, Overcome" comes to mind. That said, as with all changes, I tend to wait out the initial whirlwind with these things, let the dust settle, and make an informed decision. Dave Kirkley
