Dear all, I have a problem that I do not know how to solve. I want to create a floodplain delineation map in ArcGIS. I want to use Hec-GeoRAS toolbox, which has an option to do what I want ("Inundation Mapping"). I have used a DEM to create the cross section profiles and then I used that information to simulate water levels on a modelling software. The problem is that I don't use Hec-RAS to simulate water levels on my terrain. I use other software. My question is if there is any chance I could create the Inundation Mapping using Hec-GeoRAS on ArcGIS even though the results that I have are NOT in HEC-RAS format. Thanks for any help!

Dear Dan, Damn!! That's an answer! I want to truly thank you for one so explained answer that you gave me! I am now struggling to do this task with using tools in Arc Toolbox, but as soon as I get this done I will try to do a code that I could apply to other datasets that I have! Well, regarding this problem I will require more help from you (even though you were so detailed in your post!!). I was able to create fs_ras and null_ras. These two tasks were successfully performed. The problem that I am getting is from using CON tool. Here is my input: The error that I am getting: Thanks one more time for your time! You really are a ArcGis bible! Regards

I've tried to to Focalstatistics first but I think I will need some kind of syntax code before apply that function.. Have a look at the picture Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for your reply. I really did not know that it was possible to save the results in a file. From now on I will do that for the most important results that I have. Well, for the future it's solved. I will always do that. For the past/present I will have to get a way of convert those .xml results to a .rlt file. There has to be a way of doing that conversion. I will search on google to try to find a tool to do that. If I find it, I will surely post here for future questions about the same issue. Thank you for your idea It opened me a new option to try to solve this! Regards

Dear James, Thank you for your answer and for the link to that idea, which I have already commented and tried to give my support to it. I think that suggestion would be very useful to us all. Regarding your comment, can you please tell me how can I save individual .xml results to an .rlt file? And also, how can I import them to the "Shared Results" on ArcMap? Thank you so much!
