Hello. I'm replacing an old shortlist storymap with a new attachment viewer instant app. In the new app, I have the "Feature label" function turned on so that when you hover over a point on the map, or over an attachment image, it displays the feature title on the image and a popup on the map. The problem is, the popup formatting looks terrible. Does anyone know how to change the popup formatting so that it resembles how it used to look in the storymap? It doesn't have to be the identical, just a smaller size and getting rid of all the padding. Thanks!

Grr, I've just finished manually converting about 150 mxds to Pro and have republished them using Pro. Any idea if this will affect the data in the map services as the underlying data changes (it's my understanding that selection sets break down as the data changes). And if I go back through all the Pro projects and remove the feature exclusion sets, do I need to republish the services? That would be a REAL pain... Chris

Hi, I’m gearing up to install ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1 for the first time. It’s a simple model – everything on one box and using IIS – so I’ll be using Enterprise Builder. My first priority is to use federation to have Portal manage security of our map services that our various web apps consume. I’m trying to figure out a good model for authentication/identity providers. Here’s what I need to do: (1) The general public needs to be able to access most of our map services in our mapping apps and should not have to sign in anywhere. (2) Employees should have SSO using their AD credentials, which will give them access to additional secured map services. (3) Outside consultants should have the same access as employees, but will need to provide non-AD credentials. Any thoughts on the best way to set this up? Thanks! Chris

I just read that storymaps will require https connections for embedded images/websites starting June 2018. Does anyone know what level of SSL certificate is required? I tried a self signed certificate for a website I wanted to embed. Chrome loaded the embedded page in my storymap with a warning, but IE11 blocked it (both cases out-of-the-box security settings). I'm wondering if I bought a simple Domain-Validated certificate, will that be enoughto get rid of the security warnings? I don't want users to have to change browser settings, or deal with any warning messages. Thanks, Chris

Hello. I've got a Featuretable that shows columns from a Feature Layer. One of the fields contains urls that I want to display as hyperlinks in the dgrid. Is this possible? I see that dgrid has a formatter property, but I'm not sure how to access this through a Featuretable dijit. As a side note, is there any way to refresh the featuretable? Thanks! Chris

Thanks Tim! I added map.resposition() after my code that generates the attribute list, and also in a JQuery (window).scroll function. That seems to catch everything. Chris

Sorry, here's a stripped down example. Look at the screenPoint coordinates - the upper left of the map is 0,0. Then, click the Add Attributes button. The screenPoint coordinates get shifted about -11 pixels. Try scrolling down. You'll see the screenPoint Y coordinates get messed up. If you resize the browser window the coordinates gets reset. Hello. I'm working on a simple app that lets the user click on the map to select a polygon and then the attribute information is presented in a results area. My map is on the right hand side of the screen (position = fixed). The results panel is on the left hand side. When the attribute results get populated, they sometimes extend beyond the screen bottom. When this happens, the browser window creates a vertical scrollbar, and I can scroll down and see all the attributes (the map stays fixed on the right hand side of the screen). The problem is, the map isn't aware of the addition of the scrollbar, or if I've scrolled down. If I then click another point on the map, the coordinates are offset by the scrollbar width, and by the amount I've scrolled down. So the wrong polygon gets selected. I'm sure others have run into this. Is there are easy way to fix this? Thanks, Chris

Hi. I'm playing around with the Directions widget using JavaScript API 3.12. It works fine out of the box. However, I want to be able to programmatically specify the start and end address locations and have it automatically solve the route when it loads (including populating the "A" and "B" destination textboxes. Is this possible? Thanks, Chris

Hi. I have a topologically clean street network, split at intersections. For each street segment I need to capture the "from" and "to" cross streets and store them as attributes of the street segment. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks! Chris

Hello. I'm trying to copy featureclasses (stand alone) from a file geodatabase into a feature dataset in SDE. The feature dataset projection info is the same as the featureclasses. I used the default tolerances and resolutions when I created the feature dataset. I need to copy a point featureclass, and an associated feature-linked annotation featureclass. If I copy and paste, it gives an error saying the spatial references do not match. If I Import Featureclass (multiple), it copies the 2 featureclasses, but not the relationship class that links them. Ideas?? Any help would be appreciated. Chris Dunlop City of Oregon City
