I have several points, polygons, etc. on the map that I'd like to be able to move together. Is there an easy way to do this? It's easy enough to move several points together, but it seems that once I add polygons to the mix it gets infinitely more complex. I am using version 10.2.6.

Thanks all. I will read through those docs and give those things a shot to see what I might be able to cut back.

So that was one of the first things I tried. I copied all of my feature classes referenced in the map into a .gdb (I used ArcCatalog for this so it wouldn't save the geoprocessing outputs to the map when I packaged it since I also read that this could affect size) and then changed the source of the layers to use those instead. It only reduced the size of my map package by about 15 KB, so essentially not at all. I had no idea where to ask this question so I will try to move it to Managing Data as suggested.

I have my map set to WrapAround = true, but I can't get Graphics to cross the IDL. If I have a polyline whose points are [5,175] and [5,-175], instead of crossing the IDL it gets stretched across the whole Earth. I can set the second point to [5, 185] and it will display correctly, but then other parts of my application see that 185 as an invalid longitude. Is there anything I can set on the map or on the graphic to get it to do what I want it to do without having to convert back and forth between valid and invalid longitude values?

I suppose you could just use the SetFeatureVisibility method when your checkbox is changed and apply the change to all features. We actually ended up loading all of our feature layers using an ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer created from a LocalMapService. It's more consistent with the rest of the data files we add to the map and that way all of the layers have the same properties available. It is kind of weird in that you have to add the layer ID to the VisibleLayers collection to make it visible, but at least a way to do it does exist. It would make a lot more sense for all of the layer types in the Runtime SDK to inherit from the Layer class, though, wouldn't it?

If in ArcMap 10.4.1 we run the Package Map geoprocessing tool with a previous version checked, will that still work with current Runtime applications?

What kinds of things have an influence on the size of a map package (*.mpk) that is created? I have noticed that when replacing a layer whose data source is an *.sdc file with the same data in a *.shp file it causes the size of the package to go up dramatically, so I'm wondering if there is any documentation on what contributes to MPK size? In all cases I do not check the "reference all data" box when creating my MPK, so that at least remains constant.

Did you try to just go back to 10.2.2? That is what ultimately worked for me.

Do you intend to ever have a geodatabase solution available for applications which are never online and are permanently disconnected? The primary purpose of this would be for sharing map data between our systems, which are all offline.

After learning that it's practically impossible to work with a file geodatabase (*.gdb) in Runtime, I started looking more into the Runtime geodatabase (*.geodatabase) and have found that it's not really very useful in a disconnected environment either. It seems that I can add features to a table, but these adds are only added in memory and are only persisted if the application can connect to a FeatureService to synchronize it. It also seems that there is no way to add a table to it. Is this correct? Is there anything I can do to edit a *.geodatabase file while offline?

Turns out there was an error in 10.3.1 in that it was not creating Geoprocessing Packages correctly. I went back to 10.2.2 Desktop and the package was created with no problem. It only took me 2 weeks of banging my head against a wall to finally get to the point where I tried installing an older version to see if that would fix it, and after that did I find the patch. In case anyone else ever comes across this issue, here's the patch to fix this bug: ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Desktop Package Map For ArcGIS Runtime Patch

What Desktop license is needed to create a Runtime-enabled GPK using the Feature Class to Geodatabase tool? When I created these in the past I was using a concurrent Advanced license, but now I am using a single-use Basic license. Could that be the problem?

I created a geoprocessing package from the Feature Class to Geodatabase tool using ArcMap 10.3.1. I checked the Support ArcGIS Runtime box in the Share As Geoprocessing Package dialog. I've done this for at least a dozen other tools without issue. This one is listed in the supported list here, so I don't know why it isn't working: Local Server geoprocessing tools support—ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET | ArcGIS for Developers When I start the job using await LocalGeoprocessingService.StartAsync(definition.Path, GeoprocessingServiceType.SubmitJobWithMapServerResult, 10000); I get the following error: Error code '500' : 'Failed to create service featureclasstogdb GPServer. No MSD file found in package. Cannot create a GP MapServer.' What else causes this error other than forgetting to check the Runtime support box? (I did try running with SubmitJob without the server result, which at least succeeds in the StartAsync call, but then the tool fails with no error information after actually submitting the job.)

Is there any way to add a feature class to an existing file geodatabase? I am referring to the *.gdb file type, not a Runtime *.geodatabase type. I did see that I could include the *.gdb inside a Runtime-enabled *.mpk and create a feature service from that, but I would like to do this without any intervention from ArcMap, just with an existing *.gdb and the Runtime SDK.

I noticed that when I have a vertical polyline graphic that I am editing, I am unable to move that graphic without adjusting the vertices so they are not exactly vertical. Is there any way around this or is it just a bug? When I saw it on my own application I then tested it using the "Draw and Edit Graphics" sample in the ArcGISRuntime.Samples.DesktopViewer, and it happens there as well. I attached screenshots of the polyline I can't move (vertical) versus the polyline I can (angled). I am using version 10.2.6 of the SDK and the samples.
