I just started putting in other shapefiles and some of them show up correctly, and some do not. I'll keep playing with it. But thank you for the transformations suggestion!

This worked somewhat! But... It's still slightly of. Not as much as before, but enough to make map-building impossible with an aerial. I'm somewhat confused by the transformations. How they work. This is what my screen looks like: And these are my options:

Hello everyone. This is my first time opening ArcGIS Pro, and already I see that our office data is not projecting correctly on the maps provided. I've checked the coordinate systems and they are correct, so I'm confused as to why it is doing this. (see below) Any ideas?

You can set the type (if I understand what you're referencing -- see below) but it doesn't actually change the field type in ArcMAP.

I was able to get it fixed myself, but I want to keep all these answers up here in case they help someone else. This was the final result from my project: I had to keep the stationing with the '+' in one field so I could label with it, but the actual calibrated route refers to the stationing without the '+'. And then, of course, so do the orange lines. They were created by inserting a table with start and end stationing, and then displaying route events. I'm really glad I got this figured out because I feel it's something our geologists want fairly frequently but are unsure of the process. I will probably skip using Excel next time now that I know you can cross reference fields in the Field Calculator.

I did use the field Calculator at first, but the field is already Text. That's why I needed to move it over to Excel first.

Hello everyone! I'm currently trying to calibrate stationing along a highway, but I need the stationing to be straight numbers ("54000" instead of the typical "540+00"). I have an Excel document that the correct formatting is in, and I thought I'd join it with our current stationing shapefile, but when I import it into ArcMAP, the field is automatically changed to a string. I need it to be a number field. That's the only way the calibrate tool will work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Things I've tried: Changing field type from ArcCatalog (which I found you can't change from text to number) Setting the type in Excel to number EDIT: I fixed it myself. Apparently if you save your Excel document as a .csv first, then import it, ArcMAP will automatically make the field numeric.

I actually figured out how to fix this by not having to export to Excel. Instead, I did a One to One spatial join and took the average of each of the fields I needed. It worked! Thank you for your quick response though!

Hello Everyone! I am handling a LOT of data. We're talking about millions of points, separated into multiple dataframes. I need to get the data into Excel. The shapefile that I'm trying to extract data from has about 100,000 rows and 20 columns. I first tried using the export to Excel tool, but it errored out. I then tried copying from the attribute table and pasting into Excel. Again, it errored in Excel, and then ArcMAP crashed. I thought that maybe there was just too much data for Excel, but I looked up the extents and it shows that Excel can handle up to a million rows and thousands of columns. So I don't know what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

New question: Do you know how to get rid of these excess labels? I tried to do an edit session on the layer but it only shows one label in the attribute table. (It doesn't do this when drawing directly from the Access Table, only the shapefile)

Hello everyone, I am currently trying to move data from ArcMAP to Civil 3D as AutoCAD 2016. When the GIS data was given to me, the annotations were stored in an MS Access database. In ArcMAP, the annotations are actually a polygon shapefile with the data stored in the attribute table. To get the labels to show properly, you set it to "show labels" and then, in the placement properties for the labels, check the box that says "Only place label inside polygon". Just like it sounds, the label appears within each polygon in the shapefile. When I try and transfer over my data to Civil 3D, however, I cannot find where to open the attribute table or set labels or anything. I don't use CAD software very often, so I'm going in blind. Any help would be very much appreciated!

As I said, the extension is toggled on. The layer is selected. I don't know what else there is to do.

Hello everyone, I'm currently trying to use the interpolate line tool to create a cross-section of a road. I started by getting .laz files for the area, converting them to .las, creating an LAS database, and then finally converting this database to raster. One thing about that conversion to raster is that it would ONLY allow me to use the default output (C:\Users\eehakari\Documents\ArcGIS\Default.gdb). If I tried to change the output, it would not create the raster. The 3D Analyst tools are enabled, and on my toolbar, but everything except the 3D Analyst "Options...." drop down is grayed out. I feel like this might be because of where I saved the raster? But I can't save it anywhere else! Any tips on what to do or what might be causing this are appreciated!
